D&D World of Warcraft Dice Sets

Does anyone happen to know what exactly these dice sets are referring to in the section of its marketplace listing that says...

• Exclusive Artwork & Details: Custom icons, character-themed color palettes, and immersive design tied to World of Warcraft® .

What is a "custom icon" and a "character-themed color palette"? Is that just referring to the dice being blue for alliance and red for horde with faction symbol on the high faces of the dice? Or do these come with digital extras for use on DDB?

Most likely that's what it means. The custom icons could apply to more than the highest number, but I doubt it. Most dice don't do that.

I will say that I believe WotC have given 1 a symbol on some of their MtG spindown d20's, so they might do that too. But that's about all I'd expect for further modifications.

They show the dice on the marketplace page. The only symbols with the faction symbol are the high face of the dice. That's why I'm curious if that's just a flowery way of saying "we stamped the high face and colored it blue".

In that case, yeah that's probably all it is. Pretty typical for themed dice.
