I was curious, can I use the same character in multiple DND games? For instance, I just joined Waterdeep: Dragon Heist campaign and was wondering If I could join other campaigns at the same time with the same character?
You can, absolutely. You just need to keep separate sheets, as presumably, your character will progress differently in the different games.
So I'll be level 5-7 in one game but start over in another?
Maybe, yes. It depends on the games. But also, for items and action/spells tracking, not just experience.
Or just make that characters brother or sister. Keep it in the family ;) soon you'll have a whole family of adventurers.
You can also make a copy of your character to use in different games.
