Abjuration Wizard probably tops the list due to their lvl 10 Improved Abjuration feature, but Arcana Cleric (Spell Breaker can save your allies) or Lore Bard (Magical Secrets for specific spells from any class, and Jack of All Trades is like 50% Improved Abjuration, and primarily Cutting Words which can influence the opponents' attempted Counterspell ability check) are also very good for defeating casters.
Looking to build a caster with emphasis on taking down other casters. Mage Duelist sort of deal; starting at level 10. Thanks!

Haven’t used this account in forever. Still a big fan of crawling claws.
I would go with a bladesinger or abjuration wizard. Spells like detect magic, shield, counterspell, dispel magic, remove curse, and nondetection will be your go-to anticaster spells. Spells the block line of sight like Wall of sand will also hinder casters.
