What is the intended size they be printed out on? Will they work with a regular piece of paper, or is is expected to print it on a larger scale for it to be usable?

Taking the Portal Chamber map as an example (the first map of the pack), the dimensions of the map are 30 squares wide by 21 squares tall. So if you want 1" squares, those are your dimensions. There appears to be a small partial square margin around it as well, but it is negligible. If your final print has squares that are .95" instead of 1", nobody is going to know the difference.
Printing on 11" x 17" paper gives squares just a little bit bigger than 0.5" on a side. So if you want squares 1" on a side, you could split the image into 4 quadrants, print each on 11" x 17" paper, and tape the papers together.

i tried this today, with good result. one change in your size though. use 12x18 paper, and crop the quadrants down as much as possible. some simple trimming and tape and boom it worked. hopefully our posts can help others in the future. ^.^

Does anyone know if Tactical Maps Reincarnated comes with gridless versions of the maps?
No, there is no gridless version of them.

i too wish to know this.

Do a test print, check and see if they're usable. Unfortunately I do not have that book so I cannot do it for you.
i work in the imaging and printing market, so this is a long and tedious task to size properly. what i have found out so far is the following:
these are larger that 13x19 size paper, which is the largest standard size that my company can print on.
the image dimensions are as follows, 9075 x 6375
I am still trying to find a way to print these normally, but its looking more and more like a Frankenstein project as i continue my testing.
