So there's the link for the article. Can we have a discussion about it on here? They have the comments shut off on this article, and I can only guess why. Toxicity breeds toxicity.
But, what do we think about the legacy of this game? Yeah, it's living and breathing right now. But, what can we do as a community to maintain that legacy other than just playing the game? How do we honor someone, who literally changed all of our lives, in a meaningful way?
I really feel for his wife. But I also see her as losing it a bit too. Which I get. I mean, age and the love of a man... I can't even think about how I would be at that age or in her condition. No one should be given the keys to the kingdom without a structure.
So, how do we preserve this legacy as a community? Not all of us can go to GaryCon. But how do we, in the heart and soul of the men who made this game for us to enjoy all these years later, hold on to that legacy and cement it in a positive light? Yeah, we have Wizards making an amazing product. and we have this great site. I just, Idk... I felt saddened by this article. Like, on a very primal level. are we doing enough? Is there something we can do?
Thoughts?
