Is there an easy way / what's the best way to specify the contents of a Ring of Spell Storing, or to specify the type of a scroll in D&D Beyond character sheets?
In importing my paper character sheets into D&D Beyond, one of my characters has a Ring of Spell Storing, and another character had a couple of scrolls. Finding those items was easy. However, given how slick everything else is, I was surprised that neither had drop-down selectors for spells, or ways to "attach" spells for them that I could see.
For now I've clicked "Customize" and just manually typed the spell descriptions in the notes field, which does work, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something.
I'm guessing for the Ring that it's just a matter of the spells in the ring changing so frequently that they didn't bother with a dropdown list. Just typing a note is probably faster for something that's not a permanent feature.

Well, it's not implemented for scrolls at this time either, so most likely the current state is more of a "this feature not implemented yet" in both cases.
However, it seems like if it's faster/easier for one-time setting (as in a scroll) it's also going to be faster/easier for setting a bunch of times (as in the ring). It's certainly faster to pick a spell from a drop-down than to look up the full text of a spell and then transcribe it. (I could see just typing in the name of the spell being quicker, which is probably okay if the spellcaster is also the one using the ring, but in the case where someone is storing spells in it for a different player to be able to cast later, that player would want the full text.)

No, that's pretty much the best way to do it right now.
You can create a custom item (in manage items) named "spell scroll of whatever". As for the ring, pretty much just notes.
Okay, thanks! :D

Looking for new subclasses, spells, magic items, feats, and races? Opinions welcome :)
