The section exists in the MM for adding a "template", if you will, for specific were-creatures, and what their actual perks are aren't anything that can't be manipulated on D&D Beyond's character sheet. Besides just messing with the stats, is there anything that is required for a lycanthrope that the character sheet doesn't support?
I believe there are a number of Were creatures floating around in the Homebrew section. If you can assemble it through the homebrew creation interface, then D&D:B can handle it.
There is also the Blood Hunter class via Critical Role content, which through the level 3 specialization can choose to become a Werewolf (Order of the Lycan). It's ready made and waiting to be used. However, when using the Character Builder, Critical Role content is defaulted to "off", so on the first page you have to knock that slider into place.
