I've made an elven warlock, Pact of the Chain, and she is going to have a pseudodragon familiar. However, I can't for the life of me come up with a name for the little guy. My warlock's otherworldly patron is the Archfey, so I'm going to design my pseudodragon to sort of look like he's from the Feywild.
Male- Yanmar, Gonrin, Rodin (Rode-in), Caeric "pronounced care-ric" (weird name, I know), or another weird one D.O.B aka (Death From Above) if you plan to use him for combat.
Female- Genera, Yenmar, Serhin (S-heir-in), or Merandra.

Hi I'm Chris! Been playing and DMing DND for 9+ years, I still love to learn but I still wish to share my stories and experiences for others to enjoy/view. May the dice ever be in your favor! :)
If YouTube is to be believed, real Pseudodragons love cute names. Names the most pampered of dogs or cats would have. Bubbles, Pixie, Sugar. Again, just if YouTube is to be believed.
Could look up the name generators of d&d dragons (or if you're like me I like the WOW names so I tend to use those).
I have a character I'm playing that's a Newt Scamander esque individual and he has a Pseudodragon named Rhanivaal but he's called Rhan for short.
You could also have it so your character doesn't know the dragons name yet (can't pronounce it, dragon hasn't told it etc) and just let a name develop through game play.
Since he/she's much smaller than Smaug, you could consider Smidge. Also I've always liked, Scratch Fury, Destroyer of Worlds. (Attribution: I stole that second one from Scott Kurtz's PVPOnline strip where it was the name of a cat.)
I learned from various sources (that being monster manuals in previous editions like 3 and 3.5, and from a channel on YouTube I like,) that the cuter the name, the better. Pseudodragons love cute and shiny things, and that includes names.
Pookie, Goober, Scampers, Frumpkin, Queenie, Ginger, Mr/Mrs/Ms Bean, and perhaps others. Make a pun name, even. i.e: Retractable teeth = Toothless; Lazy and devil-may-care = Sloth. And I also realize silly names go well with Fey. Leprechauns are fey, so you never know what's in store! I tried my best to make the names gender neutral lol, gender interpretation is up to you.
I've been tossing around a character idea of a Pact of the Chain Warlock that ties into wild west aesthetic. His pseudodragon would be named Petunia. I think that's right up a pseudodragon's alley.
I found this forum when looking for a name for my own pseudodragon. He's a buddy to my Scottish monk named Morgan (Got him from an item), and he's a pretty green color. So I named him Bean (short for Green Bean) after finding this forum. I know this isn't really that much help to other people, but I will reaffirm what's been said above by saying that the cuter the name, the better. Not only does the pseudodragon like it more, but it can lead to making fun session stories even funnier. That's just true with pet names in general. I'm a fan of big, badass character names, but cute pet names for lyfe. I once had a cat as a pet in a *very* HB'ed game that led to many fun stories. Every single story was made so much better because the cat's name was "Sergeant 'Orcbane' Fuzzyboots".
Since they communicate with emotions you can go for names that evoke an emotion that defines the pseudodragon. Happy, Sly, Pleased, Joyful, Angry, Wary...

What? Dwarves? No. That's definitely about drinking too much. ...then again, with the Dwarf stereotype...

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
Especially for Elven, Fey, or nature themed names/characters I use the language of flowers, it's a unique way of conveying an idea or theme. It's how I got my half elf cleric's last name: Dogwood which means durability

I like Bob the Psuedodragon
Hmm.
Gwenlyn. Carrier of the scrolls and dropper of knickknacks.
Smaug! At least that's what my son's pseudodragon is called. Epic.
