So, on this topic, I have never posted, and I just "received" the Adventurer title. Only thing I can imagine is that it's tied to how much you have purchased.........*shrug*

The Default? I have never posted, and after making my last purchase, I was granted "Adventurer", meaning I had Adventurer with 0 posts, if you notice, this is post number two. My only point, is that you don't gain it by making a post, or, it isn't the only way

I thought you just start with it. I've had every title for 2.5 years, so I may be misremembering.

Yeah, I specifically just gained it, lol. You do not start with it, but there may be multiple ways to gain it, so who knows. It did seemingly do it's job, as it got me to get on here and actually check out the forum

Ni...or I mean no, i'm relatively sure that titles are not based on how much money you spend on DDB, mainly because I have purchased almost everything DDB has to offer and I have earned a meager 12 titles! It looks like titles are earned based on numbers of posts, and possibly, blessing from the "gods" (the admins/moderators).

Everyone gets the Adventurer title, whether you have posted or not. There are bunch of title you can get based on your number of posts, up to 100. After 100, you get no new titles unless a mod grants you one.

But I didn't get it from just making an account, I have been a technical member for over a year. And had purchased quite a bit of material, and then, boom, title granted. It was NOT tied just having a D&D Beyond account, and wasn't granted with my first purchase. Gaining the title is what actually prompted to make a first post, as I was curious what exactly I did to gain it. Lo and behold, no one actually knows. Fair enough.

Nice, didn't even know titles were a thing. I'm honestly surprised they don't add one or two to per-purchase goodies.
