Using a glaive with polearm master 2 attacks per round. If i use Green flame blade as an action on first attack do i get my second attack? Or does the action of casting the cantrip take away the second attack. And if that is the case what about using on my second attack instead of first. Also as spell in instantaneous does that mean i could use it on both attacks.
thanks for your feed back
My belief is, can use it once and it does not prevent second attack.
The bonus action attack from Polearm Master is triggered by taking the Attack action. Casting Green Flame Blade is the [Tooltip Not Found] action so it unfortunately does not trigger that second attack.

Hello there rakassan101,
According to Mr Jeremy Crawford at WotC, using the Green Flame Blade or Booming Blade cantrip only allows one attack, even if you have the extra attack feature. It's as Ophidimancer said. Green Flame Blade and Booming Blade are [Tooltip Not Found] actions. You only get Extra Attack if you take the Attack action. The Polearm Master Bonus-Action attack also requires you to have taken the Attack action as well.
So if you use one of those cantrips you only get the one attack (granted by the spell) and cannot use the Polearm Master attack.
The other thing not being said is gfb has a range of 5 feet . Polearms attack at 10. Gfb can't be used with reach weapons unless you have spell sniper.

Reach weapons still can attack at 5 ft so you can use either of those cantrips - but you're right - if the enemy is 10 ft away you couldn't because the spells ranges are 5 ft.
Meh, I'd still allow it. It doesn't really make sense to me that a melee weapon you are wielding would be exempt from GFB just because it has a longer reach. I think it was given that range to prevent someone from carrying GFB on a dagger and throwing it.
The weapon you want is the Scimitar of Speed. One of the most consistently and criminally underrated pieces of magical kit in 5e, really. Entire builds become possible with a Scimitar of Speed, while other builds - such as a GFB Bladelock - become much better. No Polearm Master of course, but there's other cool things you can do with a Scimitar of Speed

It wasn't. The spell itself has a range of 5 feet. There was a sage advice on it specifically.

Canto alla vita
alla sua bellezza
ad ogni sua ferita
ogni sua carezza!
I sing to life and to its tragic beauty
To pain and to strife, but all that dances through me
The rise and the fall, I've lived through it all!

It could be done RAW by taking the Spell Sniper feat.
But I still think it's dumb.
