My aunt has agreed to buy me stuff for this "Wierd storytelling dice game" and promised me to buy something under 100usd, so I am currently deciding on what to buy here. I am mainly a player, but also the guy who keeps track and looks up the rules. The books I have decided on for now are: PHB, XGtE, races from Volo and the new Eberron. What else would you suggest I get?
With $100 budget as primarily a player, I'd recommend Player's Handbook and Xanathar's Guide to Everything. XGTE includes several subclasses, plus lots of cool tables that really help for generating backstories. It's one of the most useful non-core books for players and dms alike
What do you think I should get from SCAG? I'll definetly buy the spells cause I use them a lot, but not sure about the subraces since feral tiefling a separate race.
If you can get them like TODAY, the Cyber Monday sale has all the books at $20, you can save quite a bit.

Edeleth Treesong (Aldalire) WoodElf Druid lvl 8 Talaveroth Sub 2 Last Tree StandingTabaxi Ranger, Chef and Hoardsperson lvl 5, Company of the Dragon Team 1 Choir Kenku Cleric, Tempest Domain, lvl 11, Descent Into Avernus Test Drive Poinki Goblin Paladin, Redemption, lvl 5, Tales from Talaveroth Lyrika Nyx Satyr Bard lvl 1, The Six Kingdoms of Talia
I would strongly suggest a monster manual as well. Better to have the book for creature stat blocks for familiars, summoned creatures, animal companions, etc.
Definitely PHB and XGtE, if your aunt is buying books from Amazon... the're like 25-35$ there. If your aunt would buy online, then also Volo/SCAG would be best.
Go to Reaper or another site to get a few minis to represent the types of characters you play. Or if you want to go all out, hero forge and you can design your own mini for much more $

Some dice. But that sounds like a pretty good selection.
Think I am missing anything you would reccomend getting?

Specifically, I like the Backgrounds.
Swashbuckler subclass of Rogue is also a staple at my table now.
Interestingly, Ghosts of Saltmarsh has some good Backgrounds as well.
If you are a player. Obviously the PHB. Dice, lots of dice :). Miniatures maybe?
