My parents have an opportunity to get some used 2014 iPad airs fairly cheap and I am debating picking a couple up for my table to use for their D&D Beyond character sheets. I'd literally leave it at the table and only use it for the character sheets and encounter builder. Does anyone have one of the old airs and use it for D&D Beyond successfully, or does it lack the power to run well?

Knowing apple, I'd be more worried whether the old hardware was incompatible with my browser of choice.

Knowing Apple, its perfectly fine except the updates that make it slower than it needs to be to try to force you to buy a newer model for too much money.

I have one. It will run the character sheet fine in the browser, but it is slow to respond to taps on the screen or changing apps. Basically just tap once and wait a couple of seconds for it to respond - don't go tapping on 800 things at once.

My biggest issue with it is memory space - I let it offload apps to save space and it offloaded basically everything but the browser and messages. Even the mail app is uninstalled.
