Actually Nilbogism is a great idea...one parent is a goblin from a family that has been “blessed” by the unnamed Trickster God. As for the Infernal heritage...how to explain that?
Wouldn't the infernal bit be from a devil? Either way, demons and devils often take other forms, perhaps they assumed Goblin form in an attempt to try and usurp some power of the Trickster god.
OK so I’m playing a Divine Soul Sorcerer Tiefling that was born of a goblin and demon paring. DM approved.
So how would this paring happen? Where would the “divine” blood come in?
A goblin Sorcerer who summoned a demon and lost control of spell. Demon does demon things...yikes!
Any other ideas?
Maybe your family tree is peppered with goblins who have gained the favor of their odd gods and tend to become Nilbog.

Sorry, meant Fiendish not Infernal...demon or devil. either works!
