I’ve read the Sellswords series and am now reading the last of the Neverwinter series and have seen that there’s a portion I’ve missed in which Jarlaxle betrayed Entreri. Can anyone provide the name of the book/series and author so I can purchase them? And if there are any more along those lines I’d love to know about those as well.
My long time friend lent me the Drizzt series and I stopped somewhere around the time of the orcs (The Lone Drow probably), and sk I’ve been buying them in sets of 3 or 4 for myself. It’s been a looong time!
If you haven’t read there’s a 6 book series that RA Salvatore had 6 writers write that is most excellent! It’s The War of The Spider Queen series. Best D&D books I’ve read yet!
I have read most of the Drizzt books but I did skip some series because I felt they were painfully boring. Like the "Spine of the World" most stuff with Duetermont, The Orcs books (this i might go back too) but there are a few things I think you might be referring to, it could be from I think it was"The Silent Blade" where Artemis and Drizzt fight in Creshibond and Kimmurell gives Arty the kinetic Barrier and a Drizzt strikes several hits it reflects back on D and he dies. Later Riaguy who was a Mage/Cleric brings D back to life after Arty leaves and tries to figure out a new path because he thinks D is dead.
To be honest that trilogy especially the next 2 books just about Jarlaxle and Arty might be some of my favorite. The Trilogy after the one you are reading with Archmage, Maestro and Hero is really good, especially Hero. And the next 2 where they bring back Zak are really interesting and give you an idea of how things were a lot time ago, about the first 1/3rd of the book is from back in the day.
Anyway, I think that is what you are referring too.
That’s the beginning in which Entreri gets the sword and glove Charon’s Claw, but the story continues in The Sellswords series. It’s at some point after this that Jarlaxle apparently betrays him to the Netherese (by force). This book/series clearly isn’t written by RA Salvatore as it’s not listed among his published books.
They started writing books that had short stories in them, below are 2 stories, about 20-30 pages of the full book. 1. With what happened between Jarlaxle and Artemis which leads into Arty's alter ego "Barnabus" or whatever it was. The other is how they made Gwen and is pretty interesting.

I'm currently re-reading the Drizzt series in the following order....

From memory, it's either The Cleric Quintet or the Legacy of the Drow series.
