I am trying to come up with a way to make a version of a Naiad, without any homebrew.
In Greek mythology, the Naiads are a type of female spirit, or nymph, presiding over fountains, wells, springs, streams, brooks and other bodies of fresh water. I believe they exist in d&d 5e as a kind of Fey, and I want to create a Naiad as a playable character.
I realise it would be impossible to create an exact duplicate without homebrew, but how would I get as close as possible to the mythological Naiad, having only officially published 5e material?
Thanks

I think genasi fits better than eladrin TBH. The class can pretty much be anything fey or elemental in theme: glamour bard, tempest or nature cleric, coast or dreams druid, 4 elements monk, ancients paladin, storm or wild sorcerer, lurker warlock.
