It was my understanding that the Planeshift stuff is totally homebrew... made by people on the Wizards side, but not officially sanctioned as a DnD product. Made by people in WotC, but not as part of their job.

Today I found out there is a release called plane shift ixalan by wizards of the coast

For example it features a CR 10 beast not found in the monster list.

I personally would love it if plane shift was added to DDB, but it is more of a side project compared to UA.
But after GGtR came out who knows anymore.
