That all depends on the DM, since this isn't a hard rules kind of thing. I don't use the Alignment system, I would make my decision based on the situation and the character's past. Of course, a character that has a difference of opinion with an organization about morality and ethics may have trouble joining that group.
If the character wants to join benefits the faction and their cause, sure why not? Alignment is really unimportant mechanically in 5e, it pretty much only exists to guide behavior and role play.

I was wondering if the factions required particular alignments for a character to join?
For example, could a chaotic good character joining the Order of the Gauntlet?
