I know, stupid question, I've seen LotR, I've done the research to see Elder Scrolls and Forgotten Realms ideas of the Orcish language, but all of these are incomplete. I'm wondering what would a good substitute language for orcish would be that I could use for translation purposes. I liken dwarvish to old norse and elvish to welsh, infernal to old latin and primordial ignan to arabic, so what would a good language be to liken to orcish.
Whatever you want it to be in your game. In mine, it’s Irish and the other Celtic languages (Scottish Gaelic, Breton, Welsh, etc.) depending on lovation.
I know you probably mean well but this does not help, really. I want to find a language that is similar enough to orcish that I can use it seamlessly rather than relying on the Forgotten Realms version of a language that in all has like 20 words in it.
I've look into klingon, It would work except it doesn't have key words that would be necessary for the orcs, like dragon, ox, troll, and orc. Also it works well for speech but not for naming things. A city named by the Orcs would take forever to say even if it's root words were short and simple.
I found a halfway decent Black Speech Translator that has most of what I need. I'm sprinkling in Frisian and a bit of Klingon to fill in bits that are missing.

German?
I usually try to make Orcish sound like Samoan. Very deep, No syllable consists of more than three sounds and the war dance / war cry
It's like if you mix German with Russian, and then start gargling.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Spells, Monsters, Subclasses, Races, Arcknight Class, Occultist Class, World, Enigmatic Esoterica forms
I think I like Frisian?
Klingon.
I am pretty sure that when Star Trek invented Klingon, they were thinking of Orcs.

I was just about to say that. It's what I've always imagined orc to sound like.
Klingon mixed with a rough sounding middle eastern dialect. One of those dialects that to eastern ears sounds like someone clearing their throat.
I've used this for Orcish war chants before with great success.
