I just want the DnD films a stand alone thing, with no other games or toy products, if it is just the DnD films, I would be happy
Good luck on no toy marketing..... sadly many film and network execs still think that the entire purpose of such films is to sell toys.
No they mean they don't want it tied in with any of those other toy properties like gi Joe or transformers, like an Avengers-style transformers/d&d crossover movie.
That said I still find it highly unlikely that that's in danger of happening. The D&D movie has never been marketed as being part of the proposed Hasboro cinematic universe, and I believe it's so dissimilar from the other properties that are, that no sane exec would try and tie them together.
