I have come across a box with some small Dungeon and Dragon figurines. Wondering if anyone could give me any advice about how to recognise and name the figurines I have?
This is completely new to me. I have no clue about this game.
Figurines as in miniatures? If so, there me be some branding noted on the bottom of the base (could be a longshot since many folks that collect/paint miniatures would have obscured those details by gluing on a more functional base than the figure came with).
At the very least, you could take pictures of the figures and share them here, and see if anyone here recognizes them.
Are they metal or plastic? The older plastic ones had the name of the model on the bottom of the base if I recall correctly. I'm not sure if the current line does that.
It sounds like a figure from the relatively short-lived line of unpainted metal miniatures that Wizards of the Coast put out prior to their (now former) in-house line of pre-painted plastic minis. I think the series ran for about 2 years back around 2000/2001.

Is this the miniature in question?
That is not chainmail.

They are all metal. Cannot read the bottom of them. Has some cards. Eg: Chainmail Wood Elf Scout. Sculptor-Paul Muller 25-mm base.

dont see them selling for much. Other than the black dragon by WotC, not sure if they are worth anything.
