So my first question is, has there been any word on whether or not there will be a 5th Edition version of book of vile Darkness?
And my next question, has there been any word on if there will be more classes introduced? I know classes in 5th edition are more customizable with the different paths you can take, but I do enjoy playing a class built from the ground up. Like, dread necromancers were fun in 3.5. The school of necromancy specialization for a wizard, however, doesn't really seem like the same thing to me. I'm not terribly impressed with it. That's just an example, and for the most part I like what they've done. I just enjoyed seeing all the new classes and things like that in previous versions.
Next sourcebook from WotC (Xanathar's Guide to Everything) will introduce new sub-classes. This is a personal guess: new classes will be introduced next year with the Mystic and the Artificer.
I doubt we will have a sourcebook for evil characters anytime soon. If Artificer ends up being its own class then hopefully we will see it in the Eberron Campaign book. But it could end up as a subclass of the wizard, that is how it was originally released on UA. If you need something specific now then I suggest homebrew. If needed you can probably get some help on the Homebrew subforum.

I am feeling the same way about the Mystic and Artificer being added to a new book next year, my guess is in the fall like the current cycle.
I think the overall goal is to limit the number of classes and use archetypes/subclasses to fill various niches. I like the current system as it is now as I think it allows expansion of class options without the bloat that happened during 3.5. I think it also makes balancing the subclasses easier as they are built on the same framework.
That being said, I’m looking forward to the Artificer and Mystic being introduced. I would really love if they turned the Pugilist from the WotC Dungeon Master’s Guild into a subclass of Monk.

I meant for the Source book. I loved going through the book of vile darkness in 3.5

There is already a Book of Vile Darkness in the DMG.
