What are the most memorable moments from your games?
In the first campaign I played in, my first character was a half-elf rogue assassin. Our campaign lead us to a floating island where a sphinx-like goddess lived. During the fight, she messed with time, and de-aged me ten years to the age of 15. She then bounced the party 10 years into the future, where the rest of the campaign took place.
In another campaign, we were playing as a group of non-human characters. Our job was to go around the country and get allies from other races to join together and fight against neighboring human empire who dominated our country for centuries. I played as a half-orc evocation wizard who had a pension for setting things on fire (the first meeting between my character and our gnome Ranger was coming across her fighting some creatures in the woods. One of the creatures was prone on the ground, and I shot a Lightning Bolt at it. It fried the creature, and then began to ignite the forest around it, I then promptly walked away while the fire raged, and she tried to put it out. Lol). When it came time to ask the Orcs for help, I cast Alter Self and made myself look like a full Orc (they didn’t like half-breeds), and two of my party members (the gnome ranger, and our firbolg Druid) pretended to be my slaves. I made the promise, that if the orca helped us against the humans, they would be given the capital city as their own (the orcs were relegated to a small section of land near the mountains, close to where the dragons lived). They agreed, and signed the accord. Now, when it came time to settle up everything, after we defeated the humans and claimed our independence, the Orc leader stood up and laid came to the capital city, as he’d been promised. The other leaders were like “Nah son. Who told you that?” The Orc leader looked around the room, and couldn’t find the Orc who promised him. When he asked, we said there’s no one here by that name. Naturally, he walked away pissed, and threatening retaliation. (According to my DM, the orcs eventually did retaliate, but were completely obliterated by the allied forces. So, I guess my character is technically responsible for the massacre of an entire people...)
There was this one time i was playing with my two friends, and the DM was terrible, but that made it really funny. The DM had a goblin falling down from the ceiling or something, and my friend was a Dragonborn fighter who was allowed to dual wield greatswords because he somehow broke D&D Beyond, and our DM allowed him to (like i said. terrible). He instantly killed the goblin by trying to cut off his toenail, rolling a 20 for a hit roll and then rolling a 12 or something for the damage roll. So the goblin basically died from getting its over-grown nail being groomed. And for some reason the DM also allowed that, so it was great.
