So, I'm wondering if there's a way to have d&d beyond report my dice rolls to Avrae? Similar to how beyond 20 works for roll 20, but for avrae?
Here's my issue with more specificity:
I have a dog with a lot of energy. He needs 3 walks per day. I don't mind this, at all, except that means that I have to play while walking my dog, if I wanna be in a group that does longer sessions https://trackeasy.fun/usps/https://showbox.tools/. (unlimited high speed data for the winnnnn!)
What I have been doing is just using the phone version of the website (which lets me roll the same way the normal version does) which is great. About 2 weeks ago we removed a guy because he'd been fudging his rolls, and now the DM doesn't trust any of us (which, to be honest is understandable). So he wants all of our rolls to have proof. My phone has a screen cap function, but it's voice activated, unless I want each roll to take 2 minutes, which means I have to drop discord, screen cap, reconnect, send. It still takes a while, and sometimes I ended up losing context.
What I tried last time is avrae, but I'm kinda... what's the word... dumb. So when I type the commands I have to stop, fingertype, and then I can go again. My dog is a saint, and he's very patient, but whenever it comes to my turn, his patience visibly thins. Also it's back to me typing commands like my first game, playing a druid, which was honestly my least favorite aspect of playing that character.
Is there something I can do? So far, it's been suggested that I just copy/paste the ! roll 1d20 + (and just add my modifiers, remove the 20 for smaller die, etc) but I gotta figure there's an easier way.
You can roll directly in Discord if Avrae is on the server. You can roll a die with !r (like !r d20) or, if you have synced DDB with the server you can roll an actual thing (like !check dex, or !attack longsword).
Avrae is VERY powerful, but can be a bit overwhelming as well, but there are a lot of people who are happy to help! Here's a few resources for you to check out:
The Official Avrae Website: https://avrae.io/ Tons of information, cheetsheets, and more!
The D&D Beyond Discord: https://discord.gg/dndbeyond Not only do we have a channel to ask for help with Avrae, but we have channels (both text and voice/video) set up for you and your campaign to use for playing game, with Avrae installed.
The Avrae Discord: http://support.avrae.io/ For more information and help with Avrae, especially more in depth answers!
