The Illrigger by matt coleville is an amazing claas that is being wokshoped cintantly. Would it be possible to add it to the class list for character creation as you did with the Bloodhunter? (Allso great!)
I think it would be something they would have to have permission from him before they could add it.
And I asked in his MCDM stream if he had any desire or plans to make it available on DnD Beyond and gave a straight up "No". So I wouldn't hold out any hope unfortunately.
Also the Blood Hunter and Gunslinger classes were added due to Beyond being one of the sponsors of Critical Role, and were implemented to allow his players to use them on Beyond. It's a special case.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
The Illrigger isn't finished, the final version appearing in Strongholds & Followers. Because this is a third party publication and not official content, that means it will most likely not be added to D&D Beyond in the foreseable future.
The Gunslinger and Blood Hunter were added as free homebrew options as part of D&D Beyond's ongoing sponsorship of Critical Role.
I also, naively and selfishly, wish the Illrigger were officially supported on all platforms - but there is a business reality to MCDM not making their custom class free to everyone after releasing it on their own site for $6.66. Maybe someday in the future MCDM will consider publically releasing the Illrigger compensated by an official deal with WotC or DDB, but at the moment I'd be more than happy to have the ability to privately recreate the custom class on DDB for myself.
That custom class feature would bypass a lot of present and future frustrations.
So the "official" Illrigger that came out last week is different from the Illrigger MCDM had made for The Chain castmember, which is the one being talked about in this thread. The Illrigger you're talking about was literally published last week and is a much more thought through and play tested design. I think MCDM is very content with their current business model which has I believe included original character classes and other character options not as easily implement on D&D Beyond. The Kickstarter/Patreon or whatever it was campaign that brought in the windfall for MCDM Productions to become a real studio beyond simply MC's blood sweat and tears came their way without any relationship with DDB. I actually don't see any of the third party studios really advocating for their stuff being available on DDB either. It is what it is.
As for the Illrigger itself, I might pay the "human number" for its acquisition, but only because I'm curious and going on a MCDM Productions binge this month anyway. I'm not convinced of the class, but I'm curious about it. I mean to me Illrigger is MCDM's take on the Oathbreaker (why Paladin variant when I can just do something totally different) to the Bloodhunter being Mercer's take on the Gloomstalker (why Ranger variant when I can just do something totally different).
A custom class feature would be nice, but I think most users want DDB to produce the best integration of WotC product before it advances the homebrew facets.
so how is this not a gussied up oathbreaker paladin? Yes, it has a bunch of stuff instead, and it has a more specific backstory. It feels like an NPC. If a player wants some of that flavor, they can use the backstory. As far as the special abilities and such, it still seems an an expansion of fallen pally.
I don't know anything about this class/subclass, but the name sounds like it was taken from a trashy sci-fi novel from the 80s.
If you check the MCDM release video, it's definitely done in the spirit of 80s metal, like something Iron Maiden or Judas Priest would baste in heavy glory serenade.

Like I said Illrigger : Oathbreaker Palladin is like Bloodhunter : Gloomstalker Ranger. Illrigger also gives off some Warlock feel so rather than a Oathlock multi class, there's a class on its own that's more streamlined together with an achievable capstone. You're not wrong in that there's some resonance with Oathbreaker thematically, but MCDM opted to do a different class that's not bound to the mechanics of the Palladin. Can't say I'm a fan of it, but also not hating it.
I'm now toying with like an Edgelord Campaign with an Illrigger a Bloodhunter and a UA mystic as the party.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
