They haven't answered but if you look back I sent what the message said and was wondering if it sounded good (I'm autistic so I'm not great at structuring texts and can be a bit blunt with them unintentionally)
Kind of need more information to give good advice. Are the other players evil too? Why did you let this player be Chaotic Evil in the first place? It sounds to me like they are playing it correctly. Do you have some reason to tolerate them or can you kick them out of the game freely?
The first step if you are unhappy with a player is to try and talk with them in private and discuss the matter. "I'm not having any fun trying to run my game, and I'd really like to find a compromise between my having to quit running it and you having to quit playing in it."
You might point out that there is a difference between Chaotic Evil and Chaotic Stupid. Running around leaving a trail of corpses in your wake is frowned upon in civilized areas and brings down unpleasant consequences sooner or later.
Earlier editions of the game had a cursed magic item called the Helm Of Opposite Alignment. You can always Homebrew something similar up, and find a way to get it into the player's hands. Boom. "You are now Lawful Good." When he complains about it say "What, are you not up to the challenge?"
Have a Solar show up and offer the player the chance at redemption. They can change their evil ways, or they can die. Their choice. Point out how much fun it will be for the player to roleplay the struggle to change their ways. "Well, I think it will be fun... you'll just have to try it."
Maybe you're running an Evil campaign in the first place. Have a Balor show up and say "Love your work. I'm so impressed I'm going to allow you to be my slave." Have the Balor kindly direct the player into behaviors more in keeping with your campaign goals. "Aren't you happy? You got what your actions deserved..."
Edit: So of course I read about you already having sent a text to them about the issue after I hit "post reply". :-\
It's all for the fun of the group, not the individual, if they don't want to share a cooperative experience, suggest they play a video game. They are too disrespectful and dumb to realize the obvious flaws in their behavior, so I wouldn't waste much time negotiating with them.
