I am new to the site and playing over the internet. Are the core rules, when purchased, only for use on the site or is it a downloaded file? Are the books the same as the hard bound ones?
p.s. been playing since 1979 and had to leave the game 13 years ago and really want to play again. this "new" platform looks great.
Currently, if you buy a digital book in DDB, it is only usable on the site. A mobile app is in development, which will allow you to download the book you have purchased. No ETA, but the release of the mobile app will come fairly soon.
The digital books are letter by letter equal to the hardcover ones, with artwork and maps included and downloadable.
