Hello all!! I have a question about D&D beyond as I believe it is not taking into account my two classes when determining how many spell slots I should have available. I am a level 3 Paladin and a level 1 bard so therefore with my level in Paladin I should have the 3 First level spell slots for that class & 2 first level spell slots for the bard class.
On my beyond page my character only has 3 available slots to use and not the other two. So I am wondering how I fix this or am I doing it wrong? Please let me know! Thank you!!
Would you mind explaining what am I doing wrong so I can correct the error?
I linked to the rules that explain how multiclassing and spellcasting work (the blue text in my post means it's a hyperlink).
Pretty sure you linked to a page telling him to buy the PHB on DDB, rather than to any actual rules. ;-)
Multiclassing rules are Open Game Content though, so there shouldn’t be any issue linking to them directly: https://5thsrd.org/rules/multiclassing/ In a nutshell, spell slots are not determined by separate class levels but by a cumulative level.

Do you know OP doesn't own the PHB? Anyway, they're here in the Basic Rules as well (hilariously, your link is broken for me XD).
I corrected the link already (tested it after posting, since it looked off to begin with). I usually assume people don’t have anything, tends to make it easier, but you’re not wrong. It’s the PHB after all.
