Does anyone know of a good resource that lists all of the subclasses with a 1 or 2 short sentence description that really captures the reason that my players might like it?
For example:
Monk - Way of the Drunken Master - A masterful fighter who plays the fool to catch their opponent off guard for underestimating them.
Ranger - Monster Slayer - Trained to take on creations of supernatural proportion, using their might or their magic.
I know these are horrible examples of these two subclasses, that is why I am asking if someone already created such a list :)
I want to have a real easy resource for a new campaign for some of my players to see a little of the flavor of each subclass without diving deep into the rulebooks.
If you have Xanathar's, click on "Chapter 1: Character Options" and there's a complete list of subclasses from the book with short descriptions.
For the two you listed, they are: "Confounds foes through a martial arts tradition inspired by the swaying of a drunkard" and "Hunts down creatures of the night and wielders of grim magic"
Great starting point. I’ll put that together with some similar ones from the player’s handbook to hopefully make it easier for my players to narrow down the ones they want to dig deeper into. Thanks for the reply!
