I'm looking to make the switch to digital. I'm looking at cheap tablets and the deciding factor is storage capacity, which is relevant because I want to download the books I'll be purchasing for those times I wont have internet. I tried googling but I couldn't find the answers I needed.
How much total storage is needed if I were to download all books in the source bundle?
And for future reference how much additional storage would I need if I also wanted to download all books in the adventurer bundle?
If you go with an Android Tablet or a Chromebook both of which can be inexpensive you can add a micro SD card and you can set the DDB app to use the SD card for storage, Don't forget that if you go this way to also download the DDB players app as well. I use a Chromebook and a Samsung Tab E both with SD cards added to ease the storage of downloaded books.
That said, the size varies a lot by book. I don't own all of them, but the MM is 243.3MB and Xanathar's is only 27MB with everything else I own somewhere in between those. They're not extremely large, probably about 100MB on average.

I'm actually leaning towards an Amazon Fire HD 10. For 130 I can have it ad free (the one odd thing you have to pay extra for...) with 32 gb of memory. 10 inch display and I'm a prime/fire stick user so I can use all my streaming services. Apps are limited to google play but I never use anything not on there. It can use micro SD cards as well.
The Micro SD card is a great point, and one that did occur to me. However I was still curious to the overall size just so I knew what to expect. The answer to which is less than 5gb for everything which makes this all pretty irrelevant as even the cheapest option I'm looking at has at least 32gb.
Edit: Forgot to say thanks for the help. Stay safe out there folks!

Hello there DrPhilGood,
FYI DDB is not available on the Kindle Fire unless you are up for some technological jiggery-pokery. At least, that is what I remember.
I hope they make available for the Kindle. But I had to upgrade my phone to use the app. I had a Samsung J7 with microcard. But the phone wanted to download to inner memory first then cross load.

I believe the original kindle fire is a much different product. The tablet Im looking at is amazons latest iteration of their HD 10 and is supposed to have access to Google Play and any apps on their, which includes DBB.
Edit: Upon more research I found that I was misinformed about it having access to google play. However its a minor effort and less than 10 minutes to install and use google play regardless.

I got all the books on Beyond, and the app size totals to about 4.31 GB.

Your asking for a number that will continue to move as new books come out. Each book I have is 60-250 MB so it’s a question of what you buy.

Well yeah of course. I needed a ballpark for overall data size. Thank you for the info on individual size though, thats also helpful.
