For me they will have to offer some pretty good things for me to pay. Having the books, and many other sites for character builders, item/monster generators, exc already out there. Having everything in one place is nice, but really I'm just clicking a button so it is not a big deal.
At the very least, connect dmsguild.com to beyond and let's us utilize the content we've already purchased.

Roll the dice and play the game, I’m not here to listen to your politics.
“But this isn’t right. You’re meant to charge in, sword drawn, banner flying-that’s what all the other knights did!” “Yeah, right before they burst into flame.”
I'm really hoping this dosent just end up being the "free" content as I enjoy the organization already. If it ends up being a subscription... anything over 10 bucks IL probably have to forgo honestly, I do hope some how they will let us proove our book ownership for this to use. Lugging around those books gets super heavy and while I love having them when planning my games they can get clunky at the table. In time I do believe in the D&D team and just hope they can deliver this as a really solid product espcially if we get DM's guild integration since in phase 3 we are gonna have homebrew integration as well. Just my thoughts on it all, as a dm I just want something that I'd everything and by the official source so I can show more support and take some literal weight off my back.
I fully agree. I don't need it to be free (But I understand some players cant afford to pay for everything numerous times) but if it's a sub, I might not. There are far to many sub services out there. I'm hoping there is at least a 1 time fee for book access, or whatever they are going to call it.
Not only that but there are plenty of apps out there now that have all of the content for free. Why should I pay for any of it? I'm asking this not to be difficult. I WANT to use this service. Sell me on it.
Because you are hoping Wizards doesn't decide to end D&D and find a way to cancel the OGL (which might be possible if they didn't have to worry about ticking everyone off).
If you want D&D to continue then purchasing the materials only makes sense.
