I think it would be up to the DM to decide. The sphere is a magical effect or object. However the sphere does say it can broken by disintegration. It doesn't say that is the only spell than can be cast against.

Actually reading the spells more. I would definitely let my players dispell it. But the creature or player trapped within the sphere can not.
