Our family has been playing Dungeons and Dragons 5e for just under two years. During most of that time we have experimented with DM and player combinations as there are only the 3 of us, my daughter, who is about to turn 12, and my wife and me. We began with the Mine of Phandelver, in which I played as an NPC to balance out the encounters. We did the same when we played the Tyranny of Dragons campaign. When we started Curse of Strahd, which we just finished, we played 3 chapters of Dragon Heist of Water Deep and then transitioned to Strahd. During that last adventure my wife and daughter each played two PCs to give the legendary adventure a balanced party without having me inadvertently unbalance encounters as a DM NPC. We long to play together as a family of PCs and now seek a fun-loving DM to run Storm Kings Thunder for us. The Game! We are seeking to play a trio of kobolds, who formerly served dragons seeking to raise Tiamat into our realm. We are using the interpretation of kobolds from the YouTube video “What They Don’t Tell You about Kobolds.” As kobolds we are now afraid that our entire clan will be reborn as beetles or weasels and we are desperately seeking not just for our own glory but an opportunity to redeem the honor of our clan in the eyes of Kurtulmak. One of our personality traits is that when people talk about Kurtulmak being imprisoned we get very angry and hostile. We loathe gnomes for spreading this vicious rumor. Our reason for entering into the fray against giants in Storm King Thunder is the belief that if we can defeat a mighty force of giants, we will be able to save face for all kobolds by defeating the greatest enemy of dragon kind. Who are we looking for? You! We hope. We enjoy role playing and have a variety of opinions of the best game playing format. I personally like a 60/40 RP vs battle game, my daughter prefers 70/30, and my wife 50/50. We all very much enjoy getting into character and are looking for a DM who can accommodate. We play premade campaigns for convenience and for fun, but we enjoy adapting the story to fit the players. We are open to home rules and have a few we normally use, but not too many. We also plan to use the rules and spells from all the WotC publications including Tasha. Our game time is from 2 to 6pm Saturday Mountain Time. Please leave a post and tell us about yourself and your style.
