Experienced DM - Curse of Strahd

Hi there,

I've been DMing for a long while and had taken a break for a while. I've now got the time to return back to D&D and DM something new.

I'm looking for players who are adept at role-playing, exploring and of course, fighting. 

My adventures usually are within a module, however there are multiple homebrew elements tangled into the storyline. As well as backstories worked into each character that are weaved into the storyline to increase your immersion and attachment to your character.

This campaign is centred in Barovia and will follow the Curse of Strahd campaign, however there is a lot more I have planned, as stated, homebrewing within modules is my thing. I've worked through a lot of horror elements, character development and battles that can get you killed if you don't come at it with a clear mind.

Game: D&D 5e
Group type: Online
Experience: a few years / veteran
Timezone: Times will be allocated upon the selection of a group, that suits all, however if schedules are bad because  'you have 10 games of D&D a week', I'm not going to continually accommodate you, so you can join this one. 
Schedule: Weekly - as above, the time and schedule will be implemented based on players & DM
Roles sought: Players (4-5)
Game style: Roleplay elements, high immersion and a dangerous adventure that all wannabe adventurers will want to get their teeth into.

This playstyle will be very different to what you've played, you'll need to work together to survive in a cold, dead and unforgiving land that has set its sights upon dividing and conquering. Weaknesses will be exposed, alliances will be strained, your very being will be frayed.

I'm looking for individuals who can roleplay, fight and understand the different ways to approach aspects. Constant murderhoboing will likely lead to your death, smart decisions will lead to treasure and lore.

Hello ! I'm interested in your campaign.

I'm a student in an engineering school (I discovered DnD here). I'm what you could call a recent player since I've only played 4 OS + 1 campaign + 1 other aborted after 2 sessions because covid. However, I'm the passionate type  and I've been carefully studying (yes studying) the different aspects of dnd for 2 months + since I couldn't find a party , I decided to make my own campaign, with blackjack and hookers, and friends that were all beginners but one. 

I'm still hesitating on my character but maybe a dualwielding hexblade half elf or a echo fighter (don't know the race yet) or maybe a cleric if nobody else wants and you as the DM think the campaign needs one.

I've also learned to play with a variety of different players and can engage with others far better than in the past. I have stumbled upon your post and this game interests me very much, and i would love to throw my hat in the ring.

I am 29 years old, I am from the American Upper  Midwest. I have been Playing D&D for over 10 years. I love Role playing the most out of the big 3 pillars of D&D ( role play, Exploring, Combat), I love playing characters with real depth and complexities ( I know you probably think Edge lord; Spoilers , WRONG).  Well I am always bad with first introductions, but if you pick me I have tons of character concepts and most the time i will wait for my fellow players to pick their classes and I usually try to round out the party ( I have been cleric way too many times to count.).

The Main concept I would like to play in this campaign is a human/barbarian. He would be a path of the beast for his subclass.

This sounds right up my alley! I am 37, working in website administration. I've been a roleplayer for over 20 years with freefrom and different systems, and playing dnd 5e for about two years now. I love roleplay, character development, puzzles, working together to solve big problems, background included in the games, and satisfying combat.
