bit of background on me. I plated 3.5 years ago with a larger group of friends. as people dropped out we found a real DM and had a steady group of 6-8 for years. as we got older more and more had to drop out as they got married and had kids and could no longer were able to find time to play.
I'm not completely new to dnd but still learning the streamlined ruleset for 5e. the last year or so I've been watching some videos of people playing 5e and its made me miss playing dnd alot. I'm the only one out of my friends with out a kid and as such still have a pretty open schedule.
my issue is I've always been an early to bed early to rise person. so I'm looking for games that don't go too far past 9pm eastern, 10 is about the latest I could go. work ends around 4:30-5 week days, and Sunday night I generally go watch my godson play hockey, so 4:30 would be the latest I could play on Sunday. but Saturday and Sunday I could easily start as early as 7am, or even alittle earlier if needed. Thursday is the one day I'm booked.
I'm generally pretty quiet till I learn the players/dm I'm playing with and even adapt to the character I'm playing, I'm good at putting an idea of a background together, but I'm not great at details, and generally try to work the ideas I have into the setting with the dm. I've never really played a spell caster but would be willing to try one, out of the casters druids look the most interesting to me for some reason. I've got the most experience at playing dumb barbarian types. I've also done nicely as fighters or rogues (ive been working on a kobold rogue character in the character builder here that seems like it would be fun). but I'm willing to try almost anything to fit into the group as needed and work around any hooks from the DM needs in order to fit the character into the group and into the setting.
