Schedule is pretty tight. I’m looking to play Saturday nights starting at 7P.M. (PST) typically going 3 to 4 hours.
Roles sought:
1 to 2 Players to join me and a few friends in a new campaign! Specifically I prefer experienced players for this game who plays well off of others, is creative, makes bold choices, and places an emphasis on storytelling, RP, and just having a good ol’ fun time. Though don’t get me wrong, be ready to kick some ass when the time is right.
Although the preference is for more experienced folks, I am not about exclusion and I welcome new players who have the right vibe, and can mesh well with the existing parts of our crew!
We are also already a group of 4 (me and 3 players), if that matters to you at all.
About The Game:
This game will take place in Eberron! I personally have a good bit of experience DM’ing, but am new to this setting. In terms of style I follow the fun and interesting things the players pursue in the game. I very much encourage an environment in which character’s decisions have a real impact on the world, and promote creativity. As far as rules go I follow them as I can, I do have homebrews that may pop up, but first and foremost in my games is the fun factor. For me personally, unless it’s a very critical and important rule, I don’t find stopping the game for 20 minutes to argue a rule interesting or fun. So that really doesn’t pop up in my games. D&D in my mind is a co-operative storytelling medium, and so everyone involved should influence the flow of the game in ways that work for themselves and everyone at the table. I love working with players to ensure everyone (including me the GM!) gets what they want out of the game. Everyone at the table is a player of the game no matter if their roles are different (DM vs. player character), and I stray away from heavy handed restrictions.
So that’s style, tonally we focus on what's fun and interesting for the story. If it calls for silly wacky bullshit that’s what we do. If it calls for heavy-handed drama or high flying pulp action that’s what we lean into. Overall we’re all laid back, but a fair warning we are an adult group, and MANY subjects come up, so if you do have hard limits about certain content keep this in mind. The story itself will take place, as mentioned, in the land of Eberron, on the continent of Khorvaire. Khorvaire has, in very recent years, exited a century long war that was brought to a head due to a catastrophic occurrence called “the mourning” that wiped an entire nation out of existence. However the war has only ended on the surface, and the rush to become more powerful than their foes, still motivates the powers of the land.
The party will begin as an already formed group, an event in the past having tied them all together. The event in question is something that will play heavily into the story. Each character will have been tied to in some way, shape, or form, a clandestine research lab on an island close to the Eldeen Bay. Some entities who still carry the torch of war have been keeping it running. This facility was responsible for conducting all sorts of magical experimentation, all in the interest of producing the deadliest weapons. This experimentation included unwilling testing on sentient beings, and delving into dangerous, unknown, and forbidden magic.
At one point, just before the start of our game, an event occurred, freeing captives, unleashing powerful forces, and throwing the entire island into chaos. You were there, and somehow fell into what is now the party. And most importantly, you all made it out alive.
The details of how most of this happened will be up to you and your party.

What you want out of a game:
What kind of player are you?:
Send me a character concept (or multiple) that you really like, I want to see what kinds of characters you make!:
And, if there is anything else you think I should know, tell me please!
I started playing with 3rd addition. I know what thaco is. LOL.
been gone awhile and learning the newest addition, but as we all know, that’s the easy part. I love rpg for the immersion. Forming tight alliances or hard fought nemesis. I am almost always cn in alignment. Usually play a ranger as it gives the freedom to play story or combat with ease. I have discord. That will be the only way I can join is online.
Hello! I am Nick a semi experienced D&D player with some DM'ing experience I am looking for a chill group to roleplay with. I’m a understanding player who will work with my DM to make a interesting and fun character. My discord name is Devilish DM#1349, I’m dedicated and will be punctual and communicative. I’m very used to home brew content as I use it in my campaigns I’m also willing to do a interview with you so you can get a grasp on what kind of person/player I am
Heyo, it's your boy Salt. I've been playing DnD for about 3 years or so now, and honestly I've been getting into the social aspect of it more. I was always a meat head combat guy but recently I've been having a ton of fun exploring the social side of things more and more. I work overnights and so Saturday is kinds the ideal time for me.
I was never huge on RPG games growing up, having been more of a platformer and shooter kinda kid as a gamer but roleplaying games have interested me more in recent years with games like Skyrim being the obvious one everyone goes to, but games like Warframe have honestly been kinda neat to explore that sort of aspect with too.
Honeslty part of what I want out of a game is new peeps to send shitty memes to and hang out with. I like DnD a lot, but it's better with friends, so being able to meet new folks to shoot the shit with and hang out with is also a huge bonus for me that I'm after.
For myself as a player, I do love combat but even more so is just creativity. Those moments where you lean into whatever the character is and just commit to the bit, doing whatever you're gonna do to ensure that you either pass or fail with full heart on the job. Solving a puzzle, winning over someones allegiance, tanking a big hit, or taking a leap of faith to not let someone get away, even if it means diving from on high.
Character concepts to play around with, I lean towards monster races a lot from Volos, and class wise I lean into martial.
A Lizardfolk Storm Barbarian who wants to know why tribes eat tribes, and unite more people. Apes strong together type, looking to prove that you don't need fancy things, you only need a tribe to survive together.
A Bugbear flavored into a Gnoll/Werewolf esq Beast Barbarian who rejects the teachings and hunger of Yeenoghu or some other dark entity, spared from death and given purpose to prove that monsters are not all bad. The classic Iron Giant type "I don't want to be a gun" type personality, a gentle giant.
A Warforged flavored into a Treant Fighter, not sure what subclass, with a focus on wanting to simply reach out to other creatures and connect in a way that proves that all life is sacred, not only those of a certain caste or type. Jolly and care free, content to soak in the sun and hang out when not needed to teach the lesson that nature can be violent but it doesn't always have to be.
There's probably others that I can't think of but I'm just real tired right now so my brain is slowly losing function. If you wanna get in contact at all, my Discord is Salt#7833, that's the easiest way to get a hold of me. Thanks for reading a wall of text and stay spicy fam.
Hey, while I'm not new to RPG it has been a while since I was hardcore. Not sure if you are interested in someone that RPG'd in the 80's with AD&D, Rolemaster, The Masquerade stuff but I just started back in with 5e on roll20. Playing paid games which just don't cut it. My experience is in rogue/ranger classes but am currently running a Barbarian.
Interested in running a Sorlock or Paladin multiclass type character but would also be willing to fill the parties gap if there is one.
Happy to whip up a couple of characters for you if you are interested in someone of my experience level.
If this is still open, I am very interested. I have not played a ton of D&D personally, but have watched almost all of Critical Role so I am pretty familiar with 5e and love the Eberron setting! I have a character that I want to play that is a human Eldritch Knight that has the Deneith Dragonmark that I think would be a lot of fun to play. My discord is Wheaty#5271
