Looking for synchronous text-based DnD group

Game: D&D 5e
Group preferred: Online (text based)
Experience: Semi-experienced
Location/Timezone: GMT -8
Availability: Literally whenever works.
Preferred role: Player
Game style: I like a campaign with predominantly roleplay, and a healthy mix of combat on the side.

If it's not already obvious, I'd like to join a text-based DnD group, however the majority of posts are asynchronous, where people just post whenever. I'd still like to have everyone around at the same time like a regular campaign, but I'm uncomfortable with voice-based campaigns. 

I usually play spellcasters, and sorta want to try out some melee classes, but if need be I would be willing to play any class. Hey there. While I'm unfortunately not a GM or in a group that can help, I wanted to chime in to kind of +1 your sentiments.

I'm also highly interested in playing a text-based game that meets for regular, live sessions and it's inordinately difficult to find these kinds of groups! Most of my D&D experience has been in this style of play, but I've only been able to find games via friends-of-friends-of-friends by dumb luck. Really not sure why this style of running sessions is not more popular. :/

If anybody's interested in running this kind of game, you already have 2 players who would be interested! I'm sure there's more of us around. I'll keep watch on this thread for a while and see what's up. Good luck!
