Hi I'm Kroh! For the past two years Ive been DM'ing multiple groups for a 7 year long project called "The Realm of Valinthia." It is a living world that is malleable to the players actions and decisions. I run several groups through the world, and some through multiple campaigns. My Saturday group is my more advanced group, they are all exceedingly good at role play, combat, and understanding party dynamics. This is where you come in.
The world has multiple continents filled with dungeons, mysteries, and excitement. We have our own leveled crafting system and new schools of magic like Omnimancy, Prognostication (Shool of Prophecy), Blood Magic, Dark Magic, and even Matt Mercer's Dunamancy. We have several mechanics that allow class changes, the acquiring of knowledge to gain feats or proficiency in items. The crafting or what we call the Job System is a leveled system along your character. You can take on jobs such as Hunting, Smithing, Tinkering, Engineering, Alachemy, and even become a shaman to buff your party. We have a wide selection of jobs to pick, schools of magic to specialize in, and you can even select one of our 50+ gods to worship for small bonuses or abilities.
Each continent is filled with diverse cultures of our 21+ playable races, running and working economies for those who like to by low and sell high, and even chances for players or groups to claim land within most of the world. Rule a kingdom, destroy other kingdoms, run a tribe of hillbillies!
Each of my players have submitted long backstories to meet in quality with their already well written characters. Your grammar, spelling, or writing abilities do not need to be amazing, as mine are big oof. However I require some length so I have something to work with, each of the players will see a character arch for each of their characters in time within the campaign.
My style of DM'ing is RP heavy with combat when it makes sense or as a reaction to a choice the group has made. I keep all combat encounters very difficult to combat with the MIN/MAX'ing I allow. I do not rail road the players, you will decide as a group what you want to do and when you want to do it. My world simply reacts to your choices.
At the end of the campaign if your character survives they will be turned into a NPC where they will carry out their lives in a manner we can discuss. Past players have created cities, religions, or even became gods. The future of your character is up to you.
