Looking for grumpy old men, UK based...any interest?

Looking to see if there's any interest in forming a group of grumpy old men (or women for that matter) to complain about the cost of iron rations and 10' poles now days,  and how in their day they could kill a pack of bugbears with one swipe.

UK time slot, ideally one evening a week.  format to be agreed. 

Don't even get me started on the fact I have to concentrate on *everything* now days. Next thing someone will be telling me I have to concentrate on being Polymorphed :rollseyes: oh.. wait.

Bloody concentration spells!! who'd be a bloody Ranger or Paladin!! 

Yes, interested. Why do Warlocks only get two spell slots? And what is with all these if-ands-or-buts rules? Well, in my day things were a lot less complicated and we could still have fun!

When you say format will be decided later.. you know this could easily end up as AD&D and besides what's a Warlock anyway? Is it like an illusionist with less spell slots? Oh, more like a ranger then? ;)

Meanwhile in a labyrinth of twisty stone passages that all look the same deep in the mountains roots.. Illyana faces the pack of angry but lightly charred goblins and triumpantly casts darkness. Hah! Now I can escape she thinks, but as she turns to flee, she stubs her toe on the stone steps.. 'oww oww *£%K dwarves why can't they £^$! build steps properly' and promptly loses concentration on the darkness spell.... ah time to roll Illyana II then.

What do we consider old, I'm in my 30s, stuff is starting to ache, UK Based and pretty grumpy - so I might fit the bill?

Hey Red_King, I hear they closed my old swimming pool at Table Rocks in Whitley Bay and scrapped the roller coaster too :/

Currently (Wednesday-Thursday) and alternate (Friday-Sundays) for me due to other commitments.

The old Spanish City went a long time ago, there's a new schmancy food / theatre / cinema in it's place now. You're a hardy soul if you used Table Rock (Wild) Swimming Pool!

Hahaha I'm from London but my mum was from there and as a kid she never mentioned that it was cold and having no sea to swim in usually I thought that was just normal. We used to swim in it from Easter Holidays until October week. Once I got older I understood I had been hoodwinked.

I hope we manage to get something going. @Nevelmore how many are you looking for? Is your plan based on home brew or based on existing stuff like Forgotten Realms etc.

Whatever takes our fancy, I’ve got all the books and also do a bit of scary homebrew
