Hey,  I'm currently running a Descent into Avernus campaign and some spots have opened up. Currently, in the party, we have a cleric, warlock, and rogue

I have not really played D&D before, but I have been play RPG style video games for over 20 years as well as Magic: The Gathering. In MMORPG's I mostly play tank, usually Paladin. If not Im a healer. I have seen tons of "meme's" on youtube and know that is not what all D&D is like. I do own a Players Handbook and my own dice set, but do not have a webcam to make good use of them for online play. I have skimmed the Handbook, but really need to be apart of it if I am to learn. Just reading isnt enough. (edit: I have also watched alot of Critical Roll Campaigns)

• Potential Character Concept: Yendor comes from a noble line of knights (Paladin).  One day his father comes down with smallpox.  That night, as Yendor fervently prayed, he had a vision.  An angel told him that in exchange for his father's life, Yendor would need to fight evil.  The angel assured him that he would be given insight to fight when necessary.  One day Yendor had a vision of an assassin attacking the local duke.  Soon after convincing the duke to retain him as his bodyguard, he felt the presence of the assassin.  With sword in hand, he parleyed with him and tried to convince him to stop his wicked ways.  He earned a scar on his forearm due to this sign of mercy.  However, due to Yendor's extreme strength, the assassin was quickly subdued and Yendor became a hero.
