Me (22) and Mother (52) Looking for a Newbie-Friendly Game (D&D 5e)

Hey, y'all! I am a player with around 3 years of experience under my belt, and am currently working on designing my first campaign as a DM. My mother has always wanted to play D&D since the 1980s, but she never had anyone who wanted to play with her. She is young at heart, loves fantasy, and is incredibly creative, so I thought this would be a fun way for her to start her journey as a player! She is unfamiliar with the rules, and I would be more than willing to help her along in the process, but we would definitely need a game with players and a DM who are understanding about her learning as she goes. We live within the EST, but ideally are looking for games that are weekday evenings our time, or any time Saturday or Sunday. We are open-minded about who we would play with, as long as an online format works well for your group. Any type of story is fine! I just really want her to be able to dip her toes in the water, as I know she will really enjoy D&D once given a proper opportunity to play.

I'm not sure if you're looking for an established group or if you're looking to put one together but, if stray players are fine I'd love to a part of this group. I've been playing for about a year now but I've been with one group exclusively so I'm sure there are some home rules that I've been using. Other than that possibility I'm alright with the rules and whatnot. I'm also EST and what you have for timeslots work for me. Not sure if it matters but since you listed your ages I'm 32. I know you gave your Discord ID but, I'm just going to leave mine. If you were just looking for an established group. That might be kinda awkward if I just randomly added you. lol

Not a group but would love to play something gearing for new or newer players. I have very light experience but it's been years since I've played.
