Hello adventurers. My name is William or Freak. 29 year old DM and Player. Player for 10+tears and DM for 1. I have 5 Campaigns under my belt as a DM, 4 of them being full length campaigns and 1 one shot. Enough about me, lets get to why you clicked...the Campaign.
For those that aren't familiar with Theros, Theros is a Greek inspired world first appearing in Magic: The Gathering. The gods here use emissaries/champions to fulfil their needs and wishes in the mortal Realm. The setting is 100 years after the fall of Xenagos, the ursurper god of revels, still in the age of Heroes. The prominent races are Humans, Leonin, Minotaurs, Tritons, Centaurs, and Satyrs. With that being said, if you can convince me that a certain race could fit within a Greek Mythology setting whether playable or Homebrew, I will allow it.
What I need from you when you apply: A lvl 1 Character with a feat/gift from your chosen god. Roll 4d6 for your stats, drop the lowest of the 4 and reroll any 1s. Your experience with D&D or TTRPG's. Why I should chose you to join. Tell me what you can add to the experience and the world. A promise. A promise to let me know if you will be running late or missing a session. I am not an evil person I understand life can get in the way but I take this pretty serious. As long as you let me know, I will work with you. I will fill in as your character for combat reasons and provide information as needed to the party.
Tell me your favorite color so I know you read all of this.
How we will play: We will use Roll20 for maps. Discord will be where we speak. This will be on a Sunday from 12pm cst until 4pm cst. The reason there is no date right now is the 3 players who will be joining you are finishing up Curse of Strahd. Once that campaign is done, we will be starting this one. I am seeing maybe us starting if things go well the 13th or 20th. Feel free toto apply below with a character and the info I asked for.
When and if you are accepted, I will message you to invite you to the discord and we will discuss your backstory, how you fit in to the world, and what god has their eye on you. Happy rolls!!
Sir William, PapaFreak, and the artist formerly known as Freak,
Thank you for your time and quality post. I started playing D&D 5e last year, and after two sessions of playing the whole group quit and asked me to run a game for them. So, I'm now running my second campaign (also currently in CoS), and I've developed a love for a more serious game. I have a few house rules to keep things more consequence based while giving my players plenty of buffs (max damage crits, full heal potions, etc) to balance it out, so I appreciate starting with a feat as I hope that means things will be held back from the players less often.
I've played in one other campaign for a few sessions before it fizzled out since my intial start with 5e, but I'm a writer by nature, and I love a good story and am happy to play whatever role fits best whether that's pertaining to class or morality, good guy or villian. I love theology and mythology, and the Greek Pantheon has so much to work with in terms of epic fantasy, so I think that I can help bring some depth of roleplay to the campaign due to interest in the subject material if nothing else.
I have a few characters in mind of what I could play, and would like your opinion as to what would fit in your group the best. I am an optimizer by nature, but I enjoy optimizing a chosen role, not just hulk-smashing damage output (though that's always nice as well). I have a link to an initial level 1 barbarian here: ddb.ac/characters/46831661/4qxd9A . The character is an Aasimar (Scourge) because I believe the demi-god abundancy of this world would let Aasimars fit in particularly well. I also have a build in mind for a hexblade, and I could also go rogue/paladin, or really anything the party needs.
I am dedicated to play. Sunday is my one guaranteed day off, and I already have 11-5 EST blocked off for D&D from my previous group. I take the game seriously as a positive outlet, and it's important to me. I get life happens and that D&D isn't the end all be all, but I make the commitment seriously, and I love storybuilding. I am happy to spitball story arcs, house rules, homebrew, and having my character end up being slaughtered by the party because he was secretly part of the BBEG party. I'm down to play, but I am just excited at the prospect of another group and DM taking things seriously in terms of actually playing.
Also, my favorite color is black, because despite being 28, that teenage emo/metal phase had some lasting effects on me. Best of luck in finding a team member, and I appreciate your consideration. Please let me know if you need anything further from me.
I have been playing DnD for three years now and all of my experience with it has been in 5th edition. I have played through a few modules such as Mines of Phendelver, Icewind Dale, and some of Curse of Strahd, but most of my experience has been in homebrew games or in West Marches. I have never completed a campaign per say, but I have played up to 13th level with a group for two years and several other small games that have collapsed over time. Other than DnD, I have played some Shadowrun (Found that system incredibly complex in comparison to 5e. XD)
As for what I can add to your group and world, I'm rather fond of role-play and have been doing it for years, even a small while before I started playing DnD. I enjoy making and fleshing out new characters; I try my best to play them as well as I can. I also have a very strong grasp on the mechanics of the characters I create (mostly so I don't hold up combat), but that is more of a secondary thing. I'm also more than happy to delve into the lore of the world and explore different themes whatever they may be, I don't really have many hard limits. I don't think I have any particularly interesting or outstanding things to offer, but I'm glad that you will at least consider me.
And as for my favorite color, I am a fan of Indigo. :D
Feel free to reach out to me via private message if you find me interesting enough.
I'm new to the world is DND and if accepted this would be my first campaign. My barbarian as well as my cleric/bard would be at your disposal. They're gods respectfully are the gods of vengeance and war and the gods of chaos and wine. My barbarian is an eladrin and my cleric/bard is a reborn. Though I have no in games experience I have much experience with Greek mythology, RP, and storytelling, but to mention drama. As a lady you have my word. My favorite color is forest mint green. My discord is jadedquinn#3330
Hello Freak Imma be straight to the point I got a really cool character concept that may be a little bit out there and another that will also work for the setting. I absolutely adore Greek mythology (I’ve read a majority of the Percy Jackson books) and I’ve been really looking forward to being in a Theros game. I think it’s a really cool campaign setting and the whole piety system is just an interesting concept. So characters the one I’m really gunning for would be a Dhampir fighter. So there were vampires in Greek mythology so I wouldn’t be totally off however you could spin it another way. Since a theros characters can be like demigods my character could be a child of like a Arachne sort of deal hence the spider climb and bite. I feel that could be cool, that aside I plan on going rune knight so obviously I could use Greek runes for my characters abilities. Given my characters strong nature I think the best god for him would be Mogis. Given Mogis’s attitude I’m sure his gift or feat would be about fighting so like for a feat probably tough and for a gift a magic sword would be fitting. I was thinking having him raised by giants.
The safer character would be a saytr paladin with the intent of going oath of ancients following either Nylea or Karametra. Basically a warrior to defend nature and enjoy a nice song on his pan flute.
What I can bring to the table is I’m pretty chill as a person I would say and I would definitely try to give you a head up if an emergency happened and I couldn’t make it to a game. I know the rules fairly well so making a character and playing won’t be a problem for me. I also know how to use roll 20 adeptly so I shouldn’t have issues there. I’ve been playing for a bit and have dmed so i know some of the pitfalls, I try not to take up too much time on my turns and move things along. Oh yeah and I’m off Sunday so i should have little issues schedule wise.
additionally as I typed this a yuanti rogue following pharika or phenax could be prove intriguing
my favorite colors blue btw. also I can’t really roll stats unless I can show you them cause I want no issues with cheating or suspicion of it. I promise to announce any delays or no shows. I’ve had 2 years of 5e experience with of a bit of other ttrpgs mixed in(Blades in the dark, etc)
I am very interested in getting into DnD and I am hoping to be introduced into a real game through you. I understand the basic rules and know how most of it operates through research. I hope that my character fits your vision and you consider me as a member.
I have detailed a character and made it to the best of my abilities. It is a leonin paladin by the name of Quell Nemean.
One of my buddies was gonna run a Greek method campaign so I have a Dwarf Artificer blessed by Hephaestus rolled up. I can send you the sheet on discord, I don’t have it made on Beyond. I’ve played in a couple campaigns and one shots all under one DM, so I’m a bit experienced, but I’d love to experience a new DM! Sunday’s work great for me and I promise to let you know if something comes up, also I hate when people flake so I get it.
I want to join your game because I think I can do some great RP, I just haven’t had the chance to do as much in my other campaigns because it isn’t as RP heavy. Also I just love DND and fantasy worlds and making sure everyone has a good time/doesn’t get frustrated with each other. I love story building, world building, and playing creative characters in a chill environment.
Favorite color has gotta be crimson. Let me know if this works!
A lvl 1 Character with a feat/gift from your chosen god. Roll 4d6 for your stats, drop the lowest of the 4 and reroll any 1s.
I have currently two characters that I would think fit in the world.
A minotaur smith favored by the god of the forge and sent out into the world to gain fighting experience and to work in order to learn what makes a perfect weapon and armor so as to create it and please his god. Class, fighter, feat from the god, martial adept. Gundrin Steadyheart - D&D Beyond (dndbeyond.com)
An Aarakocra cleric (I know it is not on the list of it, but I am thinking of it as a sort of reskinned harpy that a normal human was cursed into being and is now trying to be a pleasing enough cleric to get back to his orginal form) Aegeus - D&D Beyond (dndbeyond.com)
Your experience with D&D or TTRPG's.: Oddly I have never played another TTRPG besides DnD (or its brother Pathfinder) However I have been playing since high school, which sadly is more than twenty years back. Now, I am very familiar with the rules of 5e, I have only had two games ever in it. One currently running and one that was done back when it was just the players handbook.
Why I should chose you to join. Tell me what you can add to the experience and the world.: I am an experienced player that knows when to take the lead and when to sit back and shut up. I like to think I am pretty good at pulling people out of their shells if there is a need for that. I also do love lore and will be wandering around your world making sure that you explain everything you have worked on. A promise. A promise to let me know if you will be running late or missing a session. I am not an evil person I understand life can get in the way but I take this pretty serious. As long as you let me know, I will work with you. I will fill in as your character for combat reasons and provide information as needed to the party. :I do so solemnly swear
NO favorite color as I am colorblind... therefore everything is grey.

Greetings, my name is Fraxurus and I am very much interested in your campaign.
I have created three different characters using the same rolls for each. I did this as I enjoy having characters who fit what the party might want or require and I am perfectly fine with playing any of the three (I can even make another if desired):
Triton Fighter: https://ddb.ac/characters/50003220/L0pNPO
Satyr Life Cleric: https://ddb.ac/characters/50003445/t9S5ib
Human Rogue: https://ddb.ac/characters/51556618/L2yqhw
