M-f game. Afternoons/evening (depending your time zone but basically EST no later than 11pm)
the above is non-negotiable.
campaign will begin sometime in July. It will be a module. Once I have 6 players, I will put to you all if you prefer OotA or RotFM more.
Rank these for me please: acting, exploring, instigating, fighting, optimizing, problem solving, storytelling.
What is your favorite class and why? And What is your favorite character you ever played, why, and what one thing they did stands out the most to you?
these questions 1. Help me gauge how everyone in the group will fit in together. And 2. Plan out subtleties and nuances to keep everyone as engaged as possible and enjoying themselves.
Hi I'm marcy, I've been playing for about 4 years now, started with pathfinder 1e, took a break and have mostly played dnd 5e afterward, since it seems the easiest to find groups for.
My time zone is pst and I usually get home from work just before 430 on weekdays so 730 est
In order of preference (although it may not be entirely accurate as what I think I like and how I play could differ slightly)
Storytelling, acting, problem solving, fighting, exploration, instigating (not entirely sure what this one means, if its a typo and you meant investigating then its higher on the list) and optimization.
I like a mix of social aspects and combat but don't care if a session has more of one then the other or even if some days we get good rp going and don't roll any dice. Though I do very much enjoy hitting imaginary baddies.
The next two questions are a little harder because I don't usually have one favorite, more like a group of things I like more than others.
For classes its hard to chose because I love trying out new things and still haven't covered everything I want to try yet, not to mention I tend to enjoy character more than specific mechanics. For a short list I think it would have to be Ranger, I've always like the idea of rangers, archers in particular, I don't really remember why but I've loved the idea of archery since I was a kid, plus several of the subclasses appeal to character concepts id like to try. Rogues, again the general feel of the class really appeals to me, I like the sneaky aspect and although not specific to the class I love characters who are kinda good kinda not or just generally not your typical hero type. And Warlocks, kinda same as above mostly the flavor and I'm a sucker for the whole pact aspect, absolutely love the general sold you soul to the devil thing, but the other subclasses have really interesting potential too. Honestly although I have ones I prefer, and not all are on the list, you could probably stick me with any class and if I could come up with a character concept I enjoy id have a blast playing.
Favorite character I've played oof thats hard because I like different aspects of each character I've played. its kinda a tie between four of them. Blair my dhampir ranger from pathfinder probably because he was my first and also because there were some great moments in that campaign. I lost my hand saving the father of an npc Blair had a crush on, dm took pity and gave me a silver and copper prosthetic so I could still shoot my bow. I later used it, after being disarmed in a 1v1 fight about 100ft up on a magical platform to ko a vampire whom also happend to be my long lost father. It was epic and really fun, the whole story centering around the fight was also amazing character development. Id love to talk about the other 3, Cat a human lore bard with an abysmal chicken familliar, Jotunn (Frost)an arcane trickster elf with an affinity for ice magic, and X'yoril the drow ranger. but this is getting really long so ill end it here.

Player’s who like to instigate action are eager to make things happen, even if that means taking perilous risks. They would rather rush headlong into danger and face the consequences than face boredom.
Engage players who like to instigate by …
allowing them to affect their surroundings.
including things in your adventures to tempt them.
letting their actions put the characters in a tight spot.
including encounters with NPCs who are as feisty and unpredictable as they are.

Thanks for you time.
Sent you a discord friend request. I am thinking you’d be a good fit.
Hiya, lemme just cut to the chase and answer your questions then I'll give some background: Storytelling, Acting, Exploring, instigating, problem solving, optimizing, and fighting
My favorite class has to be either druid or cleric. I love spell casters so much and the versatility of druid especially moon druid with a damage yet potentially tanky/heal character makes it a very strong class to play especially in a group of people of all experiences. Cleric is my favorite because of the versatility it can give me, whether that be the sole support, tank, dps, etc. I like being a very active, helping person to my team.
My favorite character I have played in my 2-3 years of exp. is definitely my lvl 18 druid Khal. She was a changeling druid from back when I didn't know how to optimize anything and well... she stole my heart. A stupid little mask changing druid who changed faces and forms using wood carved masks she'd dedicate her time to depending on who she'd get close to. She's my favorite because she's the character I played when I grew with the game. The thing that stood out the most is that albeit being a child, she was able to help a lot of her group settle grievances and come to terms with who they are and what they struggle with, which is the exact person I aspire to be in my personal life.
Anyways, now that I'm done rambling about my dead druid lol. My name is Vesper, I've been playing dnd since middle school but seriously got into it these past 2-3 years. I have three friends who would also like to join but I don't want to be split up hence why I'm the only one writing. They're all as dedicated to our characters and were the same people I played the campaign with Khal in. Thank you very much for reading!
I’m available for those times and I’m in CST time zone.
In order from what I enjoy most to least it would be: Exploring, Storytelling, Acting, Instigating, Fighting, problem solving, optimizing (I do this a lot anyway but a character can be fun without it)
My favorite class is definitely Paladin. The RP value and fighting ability is something I really enjoy with them. I understand that many classes have great RP value tied to them but Paladins can just do so much with oaths and their gods. Not to mention the multi class potential with them is interesting with warlock and sorcerer.
My favorite character was definitely my first Paladin named Wulf. He was honestly a very arrogant and reckless warrior while also keeping the noble strongman vibe. The thing about him was he was willing to break all ties with anyone to cure his homeland from a plague. He started off as oath of heroism but became a oathbreaker vampire (against my will. He was even turned into a werewolf which wasn’t my thing) by the time I had to stop playing in the campaign. Even when he was evil he did everything for his homeland and saved his party regardless of his thirst for blood.
Anyway if you choose to accept me, my discord is Temp#5057
Hello there! I'm interested in this. Question, though: would this be every afternoon/evening Monday through Friday, or would it be one of those days? Just want some clarification, please, as I'm busy Monday and Friday nights and work until 5:00 EST during the week.
I've only ever played one class as an actual player character, but I have a deep appreciation for the Bard class. I'm a lover of music, so this class really speaks to me, plus being a support class seems like fun. I also had the chance to play a Barbarian for part of a one-shot; it was only for 1 fight, as the original player had to leave mid-session, but boy, was it fun!
I'm currently playing a half-elf Lingering Soul class named Harkin in a weekend campaign. I've been playing him for going on 3 years now and I adore him. The thought of playing a ghost appealed to me because there are definite limitations on how he can interact with the world, as well as the drama that comes with playing a dead character and how he navigates his past with how he interacts with the other PCs in the present. He's a friendly character who is struggling with taking on a more leadership role within the group and how he can help correct the mistakes our group has made. He used to be the kind of guy who would run away from trouble, but here lately, he's running straight into a fight to help protect those around him. I've enjoyed playing with that. There have also been some REALLY bad interactions between a different PC and a NPC, so he's been stepping in to try to mediate between the two, as both characters are needed on our current quest. Despite being the least charismatic (on paper) character of the PCs, he's the one doing damage control and is the most personable of the group, which I enjoy and appreciate. I also enjoy the mental image of a ghost being the face of a group lol.
As for my basic background, I started as a DM for a group for about two years, and then have been playing for going on 3 years. I love character interactions, character development, a good storyline, and a good fight from time to time. I only have experience with 5e, but I've enjoyed it immensely.
