I'm out to find a group, or a maybe even a couple of players, including a DM(?), interested in starting a new group.
I've got a group of friends with who I get to play every once in a while in "real life" but since I'm quite busy and I'd like to play more often, I was looking into playing online using D&D Beyond and Discord (or similar) with a bunch of fine people who might feel the same way I do. I'd prefer to play sessions rather than play-by-post, even if the sessions are only like 2 or 3 hours long. I don't know if there should be a regular session but something like "once every two weeks" sounds like it should be possible.
My timezone is CET and I'd prefer to have the sessions during weekdays (or occasionally on weekends), in the late evenings, e.g. from 8:00 pm CET onwards.
I enjoy a good mix of fights and quests, as well as investigating and problems solving. I might also DM, but it would be my first time doing a campaign.
I'm curious to meet you guys and girls and hope to play with you some day soon. :)
Good to meet you mate, Ive been trying to join a DnD game for a while now but clashing time zones has been a big hinderence and any time zones close to GMT seemed to fill up pretty quick. I havent had the chance to play DnD yet but I have had the chance to play in a Stars Without Numbers campaign as well as being somewhat familiar with the rules of DnD from reading the rules a watching streams. If youre okay with having a new player join thatd be gleaming. My time zones GMT and me names Declan, nice to meet you.
I have to add though, since this online and less interactive than a real-life session would, I‘d also prefer to have players with a basic understanding of how 5e works. Whether it‘s streams, rulesets, following Critical Role, that made you get into D&D is not important for me. But if you have zero experience, that‘d be quite the „challenge“. Just want to be clear on this one. So maybe you can let me and whoever is interested, know, what your experience with 5e is.
I was mostly into 2nd and 3rd edition rpgs on the PC before starting to play 5e on a table with friends 2 years ago.
I understand the mechanics, as I have been reading for the rules and so on. I have watched critical role and a few other shows about DnD. I said new because i might mess up once or twice but no more than that. If there is anything else you would like to know just say so.
I understand making characters and skill roles as well as combat, itll be mainly specific niche things i wont be familiar with other than that im pretty happy from reading thebplayers handbook and a few streams the main mechanics. i hope that alleviates any worries, if youve got any questions feel free to ask.
I would be interested in joining a game I’ve played a little Basic D&D & then a bit of 2nd Edition back in the day then a few years back I returned to the scene and tried a bit of 4th Edition before joining a pathfinder campaign. I’ve been keeping up to date with 5E since the launch and played a couple of online games through fantasy ground.
I’m available most evenings other than Tuesdays and possibly Thursdays (where I’m hoping to join a game at my local gaming store)
My name's Chris and I'm 26 years old. I haven't been able to play DnD for some time now because of scheduling conflicts with friends, but I'm a very experienced DnD player looking to see how the online aspect will effect my gameplay. I've played at least a dozen different campaigns and DM'd a few as well (although DM'ing is not for me). I've watched critical role in its entirety and I'm very familiar with the rules. The scheduling would be perfect for me so if you wanna play hit me up.

I would love to play, I live in the uk so the time zone is fine, I am new to DnD so i wouldn't be able to DM.
Cool :)
Thanks for those first two, very quick replies.

That’s perfectly fine you two. :) Let’s see who else is interested.
Justed wanted to be clear.

Howdy!

If there is still an opening I'd like to join.
