I'm starting a Lost Mines Game Friday's 9pm AEST. No charge to play and no experience necessary. I've been playing D&D since 2nd Edition and know Faerun better than Earth. No beforehand knowledge is necessary for the players but I aspire to introduce you to a fully immersive experience, employing the people, places, cultures, and history of the Forgotten Realms setting. Don't worry if you never played before, I love new players. The game will start when we have 3 PCs and the party will max out at 5.
The Prologue:
Gundren Rockseeker, a cantankerous old Dwarf with a big mouth, has hired you to bring a wagon of goods from Neverwinter to Phandalin, the latest mining boomtown several days travel south. You jump at the chance to see the this town where luxury goods are sold out the back of wagons, gaming halls and houses of delight run 24 hours, and people are striking it rich overnight. Plus 10gp for a simple escort job and you'll have your bankroll ready to go once you get there. Gundren also keeps claiming he and his brothers are on to something big and there just might be more work for you once you get to town.
Background: The North Sword Coast is slowly emerging from several cataclysms over the past hundred years. The North Sword Coast has become wild and dangerous with former powerful city states all unable to project power. Bandits and monsters lurk everywhere and there are a cluster of ruins and ghost towns adding to the already common ancient ruins that dot the landscape. Old allies now compete against each other attempting to reclaim past glories and shadow organizations as always operate under guise with their own agendas and ambitions of power.
Each player will be required to create a background story for their character that will be woven into the story. If we decide to stay together after the module then we'll embark on a homebrew campaign utilising these back stories.
Hi, I am Luke, and I would like to join, Friday night is a good time for D&D.
I have only been playing D&D for about half of a year, so I know some basic rules but haven't dived deep into the lore yet, but I am always looking forward to learning more about it.
