Group type: Online: Discord for voice, D&D Beyond for characters, Owlbear rodeo for maps (super easy website, no account needed).
Experience: Many, many years.
Location/Timezone: NA Pacific Time (UTC -7)
Schedule: campaign Sessions. Saturdays, 1pm-4pm. Through the summer, at least.
Roles sought: 2-3 mystery lovers who are patient with newer players and good teammates. We already have 3 players.
Game style: Urban detective agency campaign that emphasizes exploration.
Players will be aspiring detectives in the town of Waterdeep (not sticking to established lore). They will take notes, accumulate evidence and resolve, one way or another, cases for a variety of colorful clients. Players will also have to make business decisions and have many downtime options to develop their character. Not a particularly political campaign.
To help me choose players who will have fun together please PM me the answers to the followingquestions (there are no wrong answers!):
1.Are you available for a trial one-shot today at 1pm?
2.Can you commit to playing Saturdays from 1-4pm pacific NA (UTC -7) time for the duration of the summer (It is OK to miss one or two sessions)?
3.Have you successfully used Discord for voice and text?
4.What is your Discord ID?
5.Are you 18 or older? It will not be an “adult oriented” campaign, but I am not prepared to deal with minors (sorry!).
6.Using a scale of 1 (strongly disagree) to 3 (neither agree, nor disagree) to 5 (strongly agree) answer the following questions.
1.I prefer detailed, tactical combat.
2.I like to write very long, detailed backstories.
3.I would happily roleplay buying potions at a shop for a whole session.
4.I prefer to play evil or immoral characters.
5.I have a very specific character that I intend to play, and I am not interested in other kinds of characters.
6.I like to help the party, and am team focused.
7.I like finding clever ways to get things done.
8.It is never a bad time for a joke.
9.I get frustrated when people do not make the most powerful characters or do not take optimal actions in combat.
10.I do not yet know what I prefer but I’d like to try it all!
