Storm King Hekaton is "mysteriously absent from the Forgotten Realms, leaving the Giant races he usually holds in check free to unleash an invasion across the realm. With Frost Giants raiding the Sword Coast, the cities of the Cloud Giants appearing above Baldur’s Gate, and Fire Giants assaulting the deserts, the small folk of Faerun have to band together before they’re all crushed beneath the heel of the Giant races... both figuratively and literally".
Hello everyone! My name is Storyteller and I am a huge fan of D&D. I have been running long term campaigns for about 3 years now and I'm aiming to turn my passion into a full time career. I love working closely with players to create a memorable experience for everyone. Im looking for 5-6 adventurers to partake on this grand adventure. My rate is $20 dollars per session payed before each session. Now you might be asking why would I want to pay to play D&D? Well while in the end it all comes down to you, some good reasons are:
#1 - First and foremost, there’s the shared accountability for all in attendance. Game Masters are financially obligated to run a session which is not only consistent but also to a quality people are willing to pay for, as for players, it ensures attendance as nobody likes wasting their money.
#2- Paying also positively impacts the Game Master’s ability to invest more time and resources into creating a more optimal experience. Professional Game Masters can commit all their efforts towards ample amounts of preparation and research.
#3 - Furthermore, finding a free game is rather competitive, there just aren’t enough places at tables for everyone, so finding a paid game guarantees you your place at the table week to week.
#4 - Paying for good tabletop RPG is also a great entertainment bargain. At $20 for four hours of enjoyment in a hobby you are passionate about, you’re spending far less money that you would per minute on a movie. Four hours is roughly the same amount of time you might spend on a round of golf or watching a live football, basketball, or baseball game, all of which could cost easily in excess of $100! In our hectic world, $20 is also a small price to pay for several hours of escape with a few new friends to a place of magic and adventure in the mind.
So with that being said I run a balanced game tailor made towards my players and what they would like to see. I am a firm believer that characters and players should drive the story and that the Dm is there to nudge them every once in awhile and paint a vivid picture of their actions. I WORK FOR THE PLAYERS! I take this statement seriously and strive to create a memorable experience. And finally session 0 is free and after every session I listen to my players in order to fine tune the experience in the best way possible.
If I haven't put you to sleep and you are in fact interested in my game, message me on my discord @ Storyteller#4142. I'm excited to kickstart my career as a pro dm and look forward to meeting those that wish to travel with me along the way! -Storyteller
