Looking for DM for one night session for my birthday. Willing to pay. Will have 5-6 players, all 21+. Most of us have played before, one has not. Never have hired a DM before, so not sure of the proper ways to do this.
I am an experienced pro-DM. Veteran D&D nerd here (since AD&D2E times)
I have a homebew mini maze that I designed for 5-6 "level 9-10" players. Includes exotic environments. Playtested with my friends. Hit me up if interested. My rate is 12$ per session per player.
Hit me up for details or if you would like to ask anything else.
I would be happy to take your group of 5-6 players on an adventure for your birthday. I'm not a professional DM, but I am a fairly experienced one, having journeyed with three groups of players through eight distinct campaigns in a homebrew setting over the course of the past three and a half years (and having run many games eons ago during the heydays of Basic and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons). As such, I ask a rate of $10 per player for the session, and possibly a reference if you enjoy the session and are so inclined.
I have a few different homebrew adventures that work well for single gaming sessions and can be adjusted to various tiers of play (I've actually run the first one in public play at the last two PAX Unplugged conventions in Philadelphia as well as for a few private groups):
A merchant prince has hired you to investigate the ruins of a long buried temple uncovered by a massive sandstorm in the hopes of finding ancient artifacts and treasures. The sole surviving member of the caravan that discovered the ruins warns of dangers within its dark corridors, however, and the last thing he said before he died was "Beware the eyes!" What did he mean by that, and what could have survived down there for so long?
You are stranded! After the appearance of a mysterious island that wasn't on any of the charts, a freak storm capsized the ship you were traveling on, and your party were the only people who made it to the sandy shores. Electricity crackles throughout a dark cloud that hovers around the peak of the mountain at the center of the island, and the jungles around it are filled with terrifying, thunderous roars of creatures that you have never encountered, but there must be some way off of this island and back to civilization... right?
Thank Melora that you found some shelter! You were caught in a devastating blizzard on the way across the tundra, but as luck would have it the tiny yellow lights in the distance turned out to be a warm and cozy tavern in the middle of this inhospitable environment. You're happy to be out of the biting arctic winds, but you can't help but wonder who would build an inn out in the middle of nowhere?
If any of these might interest you, please feel free to reach out to meet — to figure out whether this will be a good fit as well as to discuss specific details such as:
the date and time of your birthday celebration to see if the timing works out,
lines and veils — yours as well as mine,
and any help and guidance I can provide in the creation of your characters.
Thank you for your consideration, and I hope you have an awesome birthday whether or not I'm involved in the festivities! :)
Hello, I am also interested in running a birthday one-shot for you and your friends. I have been creating D&D content and been a game master for about 4 years now. I bring a lot of excitement to my games and attempt to utilize fresh concepts as much as possible. I charge $10 per person per 4 hour session.
I have two different possible adventure choices for level 5 characters:
1. As you and your group camp for the evening after escorting a merchant to the coast, an object streaks from the sky, transforming the once calm night into a storm of fire and projectiles. What has besieged your group and who is the cause?
2. After making a soul deal with the archdevil Zariel, you and your companions end up as soldiers within the Nine Hells of Baator. You are tasked with locating a series of missing souls that were bought by various archdevils. Can you find the missing souls and the culprit pilfering them?
If you are interested, please contact me and we can discuss specifics, such as date and time, character creation, hard and soft lines, and session setup.

I am free and would be more than happy to host your group. I have a couple different one shot campaigns available to go. Depending on what level you wanted to play I would be happy to set it up and ready to go when the group is.
I have played (and been a game master) for more than 10 years. I have experience teaching at all levels.
As an aspiring writer and English lit major I have a wealth of experience of story telling. Let me know if you have any more questions.
The date is August 20th and I would think time would be 8pmEST.
My family will be on vacation at that time so I am unfortunately not available. If you were even considering me at all, thank you for that! :) Maybe we'll have an opportunity to play together in some capacity in the future. I hope you have a fun birthday celebration and enjoy whichever of these other fine DMs you go with! Cheers! :)
