UPDATE JUNE 12, 2026: Just replacing my specific age with a range to comply with forum rules.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New (few months - one 1-shot, one 3-session mini, two months of a weekly campaign) Location/Timezone: GMT+2 Availability: Any day EXCEPT Monday or Wednesday, any start time between 8am-8pm GMT+2 Preferred role: Player Game style: Roleplay and character development, but still plenty of exploration and combat - Serious players, but still able to laugh and have fun- and willing to help a new player :)
Hey there!
My name is Jor (she/her), I'm a Canadian in my late 20s, but now living in Finland (GMT+2). I have been watching D&D online for a couple years and finally started playing a couple months ago. I have done a one shot, a 3-session mini, and a couple months worth of weekly sessions of a long-term campaign; however, this group is taking a short break and I still have the itch to play more. So... here I am, seeking an online group.
Ideally, I'm looking for a respectful group with a focus on roleplay and character development, but still with plenty of combat and exploration. I prefer a dynamic, open world over a super linear one, but I'm open to anything - my main concern is finding a group and play style I mesh with. I'm definitely looking for a mature group whose players are a good mix of serious and goofy - playing the game wisely, but still joking around and having fun - and don't mind that I'm still new, learning and may need some help or correction. :)
I'm very much into strong backstories and character development. I have no issue joining a campaign late and starting at higher level if need be (I joined my long campaign as a level 5 druid and it has been fine). I definitely want to use D&D Beyond for at least my character sheet, and I can use the AboveVTT extension, but I wouldn't mind using Roll20 just for the VTT if needed. I would, however, very much appreciate being able to roll my 15 sets of physical dice. :)
I'm in the GMT+2 timezone. I cannot play on Mondays or Wednesdays; any other day is fine, including weekends. I could start anytime from 8am to 8pm GMT+2. I am currently off work so it is pretty rare I would need to take a session off.
Thanks for your time reading! If you have any room for me in a new or existing campaign, please leave a comment with some info, or with your Discord tag so I can add you to discuss.

Hi everyone,
I'm a relatively new D&D player looking to either join a group as a player or looking for a group to DM.
Okay let's first get the player role out of the way because it's more brief.
A bit about me as a player.
I started playing D&D in March 2020 and have been part of a few groups where and when I can find them, mostly homebrew, and am currently part of an ongoing campaign, but we don't meet as frequently (we have gone 7 months without playing at some stage), so I'm looking for a more frequent group to join in the dry months to give me my D&D fix.
I don't have a preference between one shots or campaigns, I like role-play focused sessions, (especially in campaigns where I can get to know a character) but also like kicking a little kiester now and then. Although a bit shy, I'm quite a respectful, friendly and accepting person and am looking for a group of like-minded peeps who are of a similar age.
I'm looking to join an online group that plays frequently over weekends in my particular timezone or close to it.
As a DM.
Everything about my style and preferences above still applies.
I've DM'd a few sessions (5) for different groups (3) but am still very green in terms of creating the experience, so I'm looking for a few patient players who are willing to grow with me as I develop my narrative and techniques a bit and I get a better feel of what players want in order to create a great experience for them.
I am not going to claim to know everything there is to know about the mechanics of the game but I do have some experience and enjoy sharing what I've learned with new players and introducing them to the game and help them find their feet. Although players of all experience levels are welcome. If you are a veteran who would like to share your knowledge and view, please feel welcome.
Logistics concerning running my own group:
It will be online sessions exclusively and using Discord & Roll20. We will meet over weekends either Saturday or Sunday afternoons, timeslots TBD. (This is why similar time zones are crucial)
I'm looking for between 3 and 5 regular players, sometimes we can be more if some of you have a guest who wants to join for a session or two or maybe just listen in if they want to get a feel for the game, this is of course also only if all players are comfortable with the idea of a new player joining or someone listening in, as role-playing can be very personal sometimes.
I'm looking for mature, accepting and friendly players who want to create an enjoyable experience for their fellow players. I encourage role-playing, doing voices for your characters and descriptive battle.
Reply to this thread if you are interested and hopefully I'll see you online.
