Hiya, I'm Donnie (they/them) 24 y/o and I'm looking for 1 or 2 players for an upcoming campaign. I always like to talk to folks for a bit before hand to make sure they are a good fit for a group. I've been running games for about 4 years now and being LGBTQ friendly and conscious of mental health issues is an absolute must for my players.
I can try to answer any questions folks have in the comments, or you can private message me here or on discord my tag is MacroWave#7697.
Hey, I tick nearly all of these boxes (I'm not a "newbie" per se, as I've been playing tabletop for ~4 years, but I don't have much practical in-game experience) but I would like to know if this is meant to be a voice game or a text-based game? 'Cause I'm Deaf so I can't use voice, and that seems to be an instant dealbreaker for most folks here. Feel free to hit me up on Discord if you like: avalon witch#1304
Not to be a pain, but why? Why is using voice so necessary, when switching to text to make your game more accessible to a disabled person is a simple fix? You want your game to be accessible to neurodivergent people, but making it accessible to someone with a physical disability is out of the question? Seems kind of hypocritical, if you ask me.
I mean, you are absolutely right but as it is me and some of my players have really hard times picking up on social cues. I'm Autistic and at least a couple of the players I run for have physical and social barriers to using typing as the only form of communication.
This is an issue I haven't run into before but you are absolutely right. I need to be more accessible and I'll try and find a system to help better accommodate
I fully understand that. I have ADHD and anxiety so I also have trouble with text cues a lot of times, but that's why tone tags exist, as well as open communication during session 0 and afterward with regard to tone and intent. As someone who relies largely on text to communicate with people I don't know very well despite also struggling with neurodivergence-based issues re: text communication, I'm kind of an old hand at figuring out ways around those issues. It's just a matter of getting a bit creative sometimes, and being honest with each other about how we interpret things.
I quite doubt that I'll be the right fit for your group solely based on time allotment (I'm only available Thursdays at present), but as someone who also aims to recruit LGBTQIA+ BIPOC neurodivergent friendly (queer disabled with 7+ diagnosises, though not Autistic, though I do have a couple Autistic players in my groups that I DM for + many Autistic/ASD friends+my cousin), I wanted to wish you the best of luck with your search. <3 I also wouldn't want to clog up a spot that another might benefit more from. I'm definitely not new to the game and am in many games and DM many of my own games already.

Notes: Please stay on topic for the thread at hand
Hi! If you're still looking for players I would love to speak with you ^_^
I am a semi-new player (about 15 sessions in with one group and 6 with the other), I prefer to play Rogues, but am open to whatever would best benefit the group. The schedule with other groups is rather scarce, so I'm looking to join another one.
Introverted person, would love it if I didn't have to play a talkative character. LGBTQ+++ friendly. Don't mind thorny jokes & puns (including targeted at myself). Currently playing with people whose age ranges from teens to 40s - don't see any issues with the age either.
I'm available at pretty much any time Mo-Tue and Thu-Sat CTS. Please message me if you think I might be a fit.
Hello! I would be interested in joining this group, I also would be interested in trying to think of ways to make the campaign more text friendly. I'll message you! Thank you :)

I'm so sorry but I do use voice for my games. I wish I was better able to accommodate, but it's not something I'd be able to do at the time.

Hello, I'd be interested, but could I ask what day y'all normally meet? I have a bit of a busy schedule ^^;
If it’s still open I’m down to join
