Hi everyone! I'm a 41 year old DM who never gets to be a player anymore and is currently looking to join as a player in a weekly online game. I'm available 7:00pm Pacific Time on Weekdays or completely open on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons. I've been playing since I was a kid and like to develop creative characters with strong but open back stories, usually my characters have some sort of creative unique flaw that makes RP more fun, and all of them tend to have strong personal motivations that help move the story along when other PC's are scratching their heads wondering what next to do. Definitely a team player, conscientious about not hogging the spotlight, and I never discuss politics, sex, or religion at the table.
Samples of characters I've played in the past:
Malachai - LG Human Paladin intellectually challenged that was too dumb to ever run from a fight, but it always seemed like he was insanely courageous. His mount was smarter than he was and if someone said there's a Pit Fiend riding an Ancient Red Dragon in the a cave the party is outside he would close his helmet visor say "Right, I'll be back in a moment" and march in there to give them a stern scolding.
Rake - CN Dwarf Barbarian last of the wooly dwarf's somewhere in his past his forefathers supposedly mated with cave bears. He fought naked but his body was covered in hair thick as shag carpeting. He carried a great axe twice his height, and would usually drag it along the ground behind him. He chewed rocks, never bathed, and felt that his stench on the wind was the only warning he gave his enemies that he was coming. Not a huge talker, mainly grunted a lot.
Brumpkin - CN Gnome Sorcerer. This guy wouldn't shut up, constantly talking, was so out of control magic wise (mainly because he was constantly distracted with his own thoughts) he would roll for every spell to see if it was cast as wild magic. Was often used as bait by the party or as a noise making distraction device during stealth combat.
Squat - CG Deep Gnome Variant Fighter. Father was a deep gnome, mother was a stone giant. Apparently his father used the enlarge spell to woo his mother. When he was born he never grew taller than 2' but had the strength of a stone giant. Spoke with a really deep voice and got into a lot of confrontations because he felt people were always talking down to him.
So these are just examples of the types of characters I play. I like to make the game entertaining for the DM and the other players with my characters because I've had too many bob the barbarian and jojo the ranger type players myself that just do the same old thing every session. If you're interested in having me as a player please send me a DM and we can chat through Discord.
Please message me on discord, Wibbs#7927, for a good fit to what you are looking for. We are a small dnd community with active/upcoming campaigns, oneshots, and a current westmarch. Hope to hear from you soon!
